The Washington Columbuses.
Or the Washington Colns to honor the Hispanic fans.
Or, if Cristbal Coln isn't sufficiently Latinx (being of Genoese origin, it is rumoured) then:
The Washington Pizarros.

Team names like "Pirates" are rather surprising, in that they don't connote fun and games but rather crime and fear. I've always wondered what the Europeans of the Middle Ages would have said if someone had told them, "Those Vikings that raped and pillaged your lands? A thousand years from now they'll be celebrated by thousands of fans in great stadiums!" Buccaneers, Devils, etc. are similar incongruous names.
In that spirit, and as a nod to Marion Barry, I propose
THE WASHINGTON CRACK DEALERS

A counterpoint from the past
Fighting Whites - Wikipedia
quote:
The Fighting Whites (alternatively identified as Fightin' Whites, Fighting Whities, or Fightin' Whities) were an intramural basketball team formed at the University of Northern Colorado in 2002 and named in response to the Native American mascot controversy.
...
The intramural team, which included players of Native American, white, Latino, African American, and middle eastern ancestry, adopted the name "Fighting Whites", with an accompanying logo of a stereotypical "white man" in a suit, ...
More worth reading at the source.
I prefer "Fightin' Whities".
I recall that they also had cheerleaders - White guys in business suits carrying briefcases. That might be an erroneous recollection.
