An organisation jointly run by the Trump campaign and the RNC has tried to get donations with a Support the Troops poster campaign.
Given Trump’s known disdain for US troops it is perhaps appropriate that the troops in the picture are Russian.

There is a little more in the Politico article:
Ruslan Pukhov, director of the Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies in Moscow, confirmed that the planes are Russian MiG-29s, and also said the soldier on the far right in the ad carries an AK-74 assault rifle.
which is contemporary with the MiG-29 and still in service.

Re: Bringing Up A Couple Of Hypothetical Questions
I don’t think there is anything wrong with supporting the troops of allies. Supporting the troops of a hostile nation seems to tread rather close to treason (if there was an actual war it would be treason). But even with allies I think you should be specific about which troops you are supporting if they aren’t yours.
Trump, on the other hand hardly supports American troops.
I don’t think that a One World Government is remotely likely in my lifetime. And if there was one the US Constitution has some admirable parts - and some messy compromises. I wouldn’t like the latter to be replicated.
