Be honest
I really can't see how Democrats, if they're being honest, can feel in any way comforted by the fact that Joe Biden won the nomination and that he picked a running mate who vociferously referred to him as a racist.
Nancy Pelosi has urged Biden not to debate Trump. She feigns as if its because he ought not dignify a debate with when in reality, c'mon cut the fucking shit already, its because she and everyone else knows that Trump would run circles around Biden and there's an excellent chance that Joe would forget where he was mid-sentence.
What in God's name is wrong with the DNC? They have done a spectacular job at being their own worst enemy. Twice they shafted Bernie to place a status quo Democrat with major health problems. I still wouldn't have voted for Bernie, he's way too Socialist for me, but I do respect him and his sincerity. I have no respect for Biden, Trump or Clinton. None.
And instead of moving towards the middle, like they did when they scorned "The Four" for being too hardline, they end up joining them on the furthest extreme fringe of the leftwing by supporting "mostly peaceful" protests when the rest of the planet knows that they're riots.
These morons are handing Donald Trump another victory on a platter. There is no reason narcissistic Donald Trump should serve four more years when he shouldn't even have served the first four. Why is the DNC run by the dumbest people the party has to offer??? What the fuck is wrong with them?!
I personally wanted Tulsi Gabbard, but she's just way too normal... The DNC thinks a kiddie touching gaffe machine in cognitive decline should run the country. You can't make this shit up...

Re: Be honest
I can empathize with some of your sentiments though not many.
Still, what is ... is.
What do we do now?
Not voting is the same as voting for Trump.
If it's a close election Trump and Company will sue every precinct everywhere looking for enough (manufactured?) evidence for him to dictate by Executive Order that the election was invalid.
No telling how far this megalomaniac would go. Even the Pentagon is talking about what to do if he orders troops into the streets.
Yeah, That's how bad this thing is getting.
The more I read the more I see Republicans, in droves, standing with Democrats to vote Biden to say to Trump, "NO! This isn't us!"
This has got to be a large undeniable margin of victory for Joe. There can be no honest doubt about this one. Maybe then what's left of the Republican leadership will realize just how fragile our democracy is at this moment, come to their senses and hound that Orange SOB out the back door.

Re: Be honest

I don't know. No matter which way you turn it seems the nation is so fractured that I scarcely can see how we might avoid descending into civil war which will further be compounded by the continued lackluster performance of stopping Covid along with Russian and Chinese interests in cutting the head of the beast while its weakened within. Come November we just might see the dissolution of the Republic.
If it's a close election Trump and Company will sue every precinct everywhere looking for enough (manufactured?) evidence for him to mandate by Executive Order that the election was invalid.
I believe that both will do it. Trump will blame it on mail in ballots being fraudulent and Clinton urged Biden to not accept defeat under any circumstances. Mark this shit in the history books, as we are living in unprecedented times.
No telling how far this melomaniac would go. Even the Pentagon is talking about what to do if he orders troops into the streets.
Some generals have stated that they are to remain neutral in such situations but if it gets bad enough, and there is an excellent chance it will, I can't see them sitting on the sidelines indefinitely.
Yeah, That's how bad this thing is getting.
I know... Fucking crestfallen...
This has got to be a large undeniable margin of victory for Joe. There can be no honest doubt about this one.
I'm not sure about that. I think the missteps of the DNC and the serious decline of Joe is making people consider that the devil they know is better than the devil they don't. The bitch of it is that no one can come to sensible conclusions anymore about what to trust as factual and what is spin.
This is really fucking bad.... This feels so much like a parody... how can this be real life? Why is Trump such an asshole? I mean, you're hurting yourself you dumb fuck! This can't be real life.... has to be a glitch in the Matrix

Joe would have to have an amazing asteroid of collisions of bad shit to even become a contender to how putridly disgusting and disastrous the occupant of the White House currently is.

I've never felt the debates to be of any value is my deciding who to vote for. My impression is that they are a bunch of bullshit, especially if Trump is involved. And it is wise to not get involved in a bullshit debate when the Republican side seems to have a master of bullshitery.

So I interpret this to come down to, you respect but wouldn't vote for Bernie against Trump, but you don't respect but will vote for Joe against Trump. Maybe the Democrats need someone who will get votes, even if not respected.
Hell, I think so little of Trump, that I wonder if I would prefer Dick Cheney (the guy who got us into 2 wars).

Re: Be honest
All this Joe Biden talk misses the obvious, so I guess I'll have to spell it out.
If elected:
Joe Biden will be president but he won't be by himself. He will have the Democratic Party and all its army of department heads, cabinet officials, administrators and political movers and shakers on board with him. We are not just electing a different president but a totally different administration. We will be sweeping out, not just Trump, but all the alligators he brought into the swamp with him.
Those of you so concerned with Joe's health and grip on reality should consider instead what real internal West Wing power Kamala Harris will have and what she will do in HER administration if joe is not able to continue.
Hell, we could resurrect the corpse of Willard Fillmore, and run Zombie Willard for president it doesn't matter. What matters is getting the levers of administrative power back into competent hands even if, right now, that means swallowing another dose of the usual Democratic establishment status quo politics.
This election is NOT about Joe Biden. It is about reversing the devastating policies and actions of the most corrupt, incompetent and just plain fucking mean administration in our nation's history.

Debates are a bit antiquated in the sense that candidates, because of the increase of technology, can now get their platform out through various mediums. In years past candidates have also only been afforded a minute to try a jam a message through. As Bernie Sanders rightly mentioned on the Joe Rogan Experience that the time allotted is usually reserved for these quick, pithy gotcha moments where nothing really of substance was said -- basically just a put down, where the opposing side then has to waste time defending the others allegations.
Still, it would unprecedented. It hurts Biden that he won't debate and yet it would also hurt him if he did. You have to realize that there are likely hundreds of thousands of people who otherwise might vote for a Democrat ticket, who otherwise hate Trump, but who secretly feel he is as good as dead and will end up voting for Trump. On the other hand, we all know that if Biden were to win it most likely is because everyone knows that this is essentially a Kamala Harris presidency. Joe will be obliged to step down sooner or later. Even he knows that and Harris damn sure knows it.
So I interpret this to come down to, you respect but wouldn't vote for Bernie against Trump, but you don't respect but will vote for Joe against Trump. Maybe the Democrats need someone who will get votes, even if not respected.
No, it just a recognition that I believe he is a genuine person. I wanted Tulsi Gabbard, Andrew Yang or maybe Pete Buttigieg. In any event I'm right where I was four years wanting to stab my own eyes out given a horrendous ticket. I might vote third party because I don't want my conscience on this...
Hell, I think so little of Trump, that I wonder if I would prefer Dick Cheney (the guy who got us into 2 wars).
Lately I've been wondering how Democrats felt about that exact thing... Although really stupid, Bush was actually a genuine person... his biggest problem is that he allowed his running mate and his Secretary of Defense to bully him into making really poor choices that greatly impacted the country, the world and what could have been at least a mediocre legacy.

Explanation Please?
I'm an outside so I don't dig into the details at all since I'm not responsible for voting.
My rough picture is that Trump is the worst thing that has ever happened to the US (and the rest of US). It seems to me that Biden would have to be pretty strangely bad to want to risk 4 more years of Trump.
But I haven't paid much attention to Biden. To me he is a bit unexciting and not as what some down there would call "radical" as I would like but I don't see anything particularly negative.
What is it that he has done that makes anyone willing to risk Trump?

No more than you have concern for me I suppose. If I vote Trump am I also selfish or is it only when it comes to the way want me to vote that I become selfless?

No, voting for Trump would not be selfish; fascist, stupid, anti-science, anti-rule of law, pendeja, tonto certainly but not selfish.
