I like the concluding sentence of this editorial. Apparently it's from a bumper sticker, but I hadn't seen it before:

Cryptically for them, that is true. Reality does not prefer one political party over another. And I'm with jar in that I will pray for POTUS while he remains with us, in office or out. I smell a rat, though. How is it that #POTUS and #FLOTUS both catch Covid19 and have such mild symptoms (as reported earlier) and suddenly he is taken to the hospital? Everyone I have known who caught COVID has recovered, but they report that it was like the absolute worst case of the Flu that they had ever had. It knocked them flat for one week and an additional week to recover enough to emerge from quarantine...and even after the 14 day window, it took yet another week to resume somewhat normal activities.

cause they were lying up until the point where they couldn't lie anymore. I suspect the decision was made "ok lets get him to the hospital while he can still walk to the helicopter", nobody wants to see him taken out of the white house in a wheelchair or on a gurney. I would expect this kind of managing the optics of any president not just trump.

The truly amazing thing though is that the twit has not twitted in over 24 hours.

That bumper sticker has been around for decades. As I remember it: "Sorry, my karma just ran over your dogma."Bumper stickers don't seem that popular or common anymore. My guess is that car bumpers now make it much harder to remove a bumper sticker. But probably a larger factor is that in this atmosphere of polarization a bumper sticker might be seen as an invitation for someone to vandalize your car. Even about a decade ago, I was hearing from people who had put a "Darwin fish" on their car and they would get vandalized.

And more confusion. It appears that - as usual the White House is confused about the message they want to put out. Telling the truth would be easier.Trump was given oxygen at the White House on Friday before being taken to hospital.Also from the BBC live reports:

It’s only given to quite severe cases because suppressing immune responses isn’t something you want to do without a real need. So he definitely has a severe case and one that may have been fatal before the steroid treatment was discovered.But the doctors are also taking about Trump returning to the White House tomorrow. There are good medical facilities there, but it isn’t a hospital. Maybe they think the severe episode will pass by then.

... plus he's contagious until at least 5 days after symptoms have gone. He's a real giver isn't he.

I see Trump now claims to understand Corona virus. He 'gets' it. If he only gets things that he's got, maybe he'll now get free health care?Perhaps he should black-up?Not that it's all about him of course.

I’ve seen a report that Brad Parscale, former campaign manager, embezzled millions of dollars from the Trump campaign.There’s no reliable source for this, but even so I wonder what would happen if it got to Trump? Trump views the campaign funds as his money and he wouldn’t be at all happy about being robbed.At the least there is some evidence of shady goings on, with opaque accounts and Parscale funnelling money into his own companies.Trump getting COVID might be a lucky escape for Parscale (who is currently confined after a breakdown).

Too many crooks despoil the funds.

Correction. He got it, but he still doesn't get it. He will never get that. For Trump, there's a huge distinction between him getting something free and anybody else getting something free.
