We have not advanced. What the people have shown us in this election is that we are a selfish society still chained to mysticism and majik, in love with our own national bravado, and don’t want to be bothered by any details that it might take to be decent citizens of this world.
To the World, I am so sorry.
Don’t wait up for us. We got a few generations yet to go. Pray for us.
My sister( a rare breed liberal Christian) says that she and her fiance are both saddened that so many people value their own self interests above the interests of the greater good. And I will admit that though I voted in favor of the side that was friendlier towards Social Security, I really dont mind if the Republicans maintain power...only because I fear that a Democratic Victory will lead to handing the Covid 19 and national debt bill to the US middle and working class rather than attempt to force the entire world to pay it off through trade wars and positioning advantageous to the small businessman of America.
Thus I am admittedly selfish. I would fight any hint of reparations and sociological bills being presented to white America. I am not responsible for what my ancestors did and though I believe in basic human equality I am not in favor of an equal world. I favor competition and I feel that the hardest workers should prosper rather than be taxed to pay for all of the poorer folk on the planet. I have disagreed with your anti God stance and will continue to do so, though since you are asking everyone to pray I cant really disagree with you there. Perhaps it is I whom Jesus needs to rebuke.

Re: Lament
No I did not know that. I learn something new every day. I have a close friend who is a Consewrvative and he has likely influenced me a lot. He says that what he disagrees with the liberal platform about is that what Republicans consider to be entitlements, Democrats consider to be rights. I think he despises the fact that many liberals expect to have the rights that he and his family had to earn.
I also have a close friend who is liberal...quite the opposite of the other guy. He is quite intelligent--is a rocket scientist at Ball Aerospace. He claims that many republicans are stupid and willfully ignorant and that they create conspiracy theories and untruths. Of course, he does not believe in God as does my more conservative friend and that weighs heavily un my appraisals. Granted, I think in generalizations and cliches, but I dont like the idea of people who expect something for nothing and seek to eliminate the middle class in the interest of helping the poor.
And I think that sums up the general attitude of many Republicans whom I know. (Both of my friends are worth at least $500,000.00) Republicans fear higher taxes to support what they see as a lazy and uneducated group of people who want to get entitlements as rights and move up in class. The republicans believe that these people need to earn it.Now.
...of course on the other hand, the republicans want to do away with Social Security which working class folks like me need to retire with. So I guess that's why I vacillate and am a moderate politically. I want whats best for Phat from both extremes.

Meanwhile The Apologetic "Prophets" Whom You Call Satanic
Meanwhile, the "Prophets Double Down.
This could cause the greatest division ever seen between the secular progressives and the Biblical Christians. The question is whether Trump has the legal means to do it.
Many dont know this, but Amy Coney Barrett played a minor yet crucial role which decided the 2000 deadlock in Florida between Gore and Dubya.
quote:
Amy Coney Barrett was just three years out of law school, a 28-year-old associate at a boutique Washington law firm, when she was dispatched to Florida to help George W. Bush’s legal team rescue thousands of Republican absentee ballots, the Washington Post reports.
The litigation was a sidebar to the central drama of the 2000 presidential contest, but a loss in the case could have cost Bush the presidency.
At issue were thousands of absentee ballot request forms in Martin County just north of Palm Beach County, home of the notorious ‘butterfly ballot’ that had missing voter registration information.

Another "Prophet" has a dream
Im not saying that I believe in Trump, but I am curious about several things. Do these so-called Prophets actually see anything, and even if they do why on earth would God foresee Trump winning again? As was said above, Trumps actions and personality hardly portray a "Godly" redeemer for America. Though I can also see how God would oppose the seccular progressivism of Harris and AOC.

Re: Meanwhile The Apologetic "Prophets" Whom You Call Satanic
Granted, but it could be said that both sides are corrupt. I certainly see the progressives as mandating social responsibiloity and reinterpreting laws as they humanistic ally and logically see fit.; God will simply stand back and let humanity try and do its best without Him UNTIL it fails.
The only way that God could have possibly used Trump, however, is if the liberalps were THAT DANGEROUS to our Global Future. And I never voted for Trump the first time.

Re: Joe Biden is a problem when he does not disown despicable people supporting him.
What do you have against John McCain? He was quite a noble example of a good Republican. Far better than Trump.
AQnd as for war and warmongering....the reality is that we live in a competitive and carnal world. Granted the US has been an ambitious Empire of sorts, but in this world it is lead or be led. Perhaps the United States was given all of the abundance that we had in order to help the world altruistically rather than horde our wealth and build a powerful military...I dunno. What I DO know is that China and the CCP are planning to be the next global superpower and they wont be polite as they shove the United States to the side. You can be a Kym-Ba-Yah lovey dovey liberal who does not mind taking a backseat and letting some other bully run the planet or you can get of your blessed assurance as John McCain did and fight with honor to protect what you have. The problem with liberals is that they don't believe that all humans are born sinful, competitive, often greedy and selfish. They believe that if we really try and squeeze our eyes shut real tight while vowing to unite humanity, we as a species will forge ahead and survive without God (or the sky-daddy of your relativistic thinking choice) I say that you need to say a prayer and realize that the gods in your studies are not simply characters on a page. God exists, John McCain knew it, and he fought evil along with the best of them. Trump is an idiot.

Temper Trumptums
I dont think he can do too much damage unless he starts a war.
The only thing im bummed about is how all of the Christian Prophets were wrong. But I called that even before election day. Maybe I can take their place.
And I suppose in a way I'm glad that they were wrong too, because it shows me that God is exposing the fakery in His so-called church.
The other thing that bums me is from my own prediction. The economy will implode, absorbing the whole hit from COVID 19 and my hours will likely get cut. We may even be in for a major Depression. Lets wait and see how Biden handles the US Economy though. Hopefully I wont have to pay too many more taxes and can get a stimulus check to pay down my bills.

Re: 74 days until Ding Dong
Wow! He owes 400 million? Did he ever secure loans from Russia? Could that be part of why he was so close to them, his wife being the other reason?

I Beg Your Pardon?
dwise1 writes:
Part of getting a security clearance is being able to show that you are trustworthy and that you are not a risk. For example, Jared Kushner demonstrated that he is not trustworthy by lying on his security questionnaire (SF 86).
Which brings up the issue of whether there will be any presidential pardons.
As 2020 comes to a close, we may yet see just how corrupt this previous administration actually was.
And I'm sure that the opponents of President Elect Biden will keep trying to expose dirt on Hunter.
I have heard that Republicans in general fear China more than Russia and that the Democrats seem less worried about China. I don't trust them. The CCP is a threat to the world and to our economic growth.

And the fact that there is ANYONE over the age of 12 in the US that is NOT aware of all of this can only be through their willfully deciding to ignore ALL of the reporting about this that has been done over the last four years as well as all of the history of Trump failures and bankruptcies when it comes to business.
*sigh*...Your ego is nearly as big as Trumps!
The fact that I don't know more about this stuff is that I was lazy and didn't read all of the news sources. I didn't really care where Trump did business or how he did it. I don't really care too much about Joe Biden's family business and Hunter Biden and all that stuff either. I only begin caring when it effects me. And so far I trust the new administration. About the only rumors I have heard is that Pelosi, McConnell, and Biden all have financial interests in China., And I don't trust China largely because I don't trust unbridled competition and don't want them running the world.
