There's no distinction in the text between the act AND lying about the act.Your argument is the equivalent of saying that murder is okay but lying about murder is really, really bad. Same way we know that the flat-earth idea is wrong or that creationism is wrong - by testing them. How is it cocky or arrogant to point out that YOU are not infallible? Nonsense. When a tornado wrecks a house, they don't have to present a plan for the new one before they tear down what's left of the old one. We can recognize junk even if we don't have anything to replace it with. And of course, in the case of religion, we don't need to replace it at all. Yup. You might as well. You scoff at evidence and even thinking. If you "believe" in a round earth, it's most likely a religious belief rather than a scientific conclusion. Same way as we test anything else. Your claim that there "can not" be evidence of God has no basis. It's just a convenient cop-out. Same way we test whether Napoleon existed.
