Its all quite simple really. The conservatives are guilty of greed. They champion freedom (including freedom to make as much money as possible) and some of them are shameless. They got Trump to give them the tax cut, just as they have done with politicians for many years. The Dems, on the other hand, are morality cops and control police. They would advocate control and power for the good of all, but in reality they are simply guilty of desiring total control. And I wont put up with that.

Ideally and ideologically you are right. Its just that I don't trust human nature as much as you do.

This encapsulates the whole Source versus Content argument that jar and ringo keep trying to get me to accept. Atheists and secular humanists by and large believe that there is no source apart from humanity itself and that anything we write, adopt, and follow comes from within us. I disagree with this conclusion.
I wouldnt go so far as to say that the Bible is worthless were Jesus no more than a myth but quite frankly I believe that if Jesus never existed, nothing would exist and no life would even be. The bottom line is that humans need God. They need a source of love, wisdom, and truth higher than what we collectively conceive and believe internally.
When I rant and go off on issues of selfishness, entitlement, and possessiveness, I am simply showing my base human nature. Perhaps it is not the best witness.
You can make academic cases for humanism being the default reality, but I don't believe it. I won't (and cant) argue otherwise nor defend my defense of Source over Content.

Sadly this will likely happen. If only they realized that they will not be treated as badly as they treated the ones soon to be in power. That's why the whole topic of reparations won't ever work. Vilifying "white" people is not the right approach. For one thing, it's impossible to calculate who owes who what....both locally and globally. I welcome sane and semi-conservative leadership. This whole BLM and "woke" nonsense is a liberal's wet dream...not anything sane or productive.

My problem with BLM is that they take it upon themselves to rectify moral issues by targeting an entire group--white people. So why don't I trust "them"?
Why Reparations?
Reparations are owed, in forms and manners, to be determined by Black people in the U.S.It’s on us to raise our voices and demand action immediately.
If each and every ethnic group or nation/state(such as the Kurds, the Croatians, the American Indians, etc etc) that has been unfairly treated were to demand reparations, the logistics of quantifying such an issue and of holding people accountable would be nearly impossible to sort out. BLM seeks only compensation for Black people. The seeming target? White people. This is exclusivist and could in no fair way ever be resolved.

So in other words, you label me guilty because I never addressed the issues. My ONLY issue that I have brought up is reparations, and I maintain that it is an unenforceable issue for the reasons that I gave.
I am not a racist. I am interested only in issues of fairness (particularly pertaining to Phat).
I do, however, have some friends whom I consider prejudiced towards right-wing answers regarding what they perceive as left-wing power groups. Perhaps they have influenced my thinking on these matters.

You do present a good point. I'll have to think about the implications. I'm not against helping Black people or any minority. I'm simply against agendas that will negatively affect me. Can't we all just get along?

Are you suggesting that the Republican Party is a White Supremacist party? While we could well label some blatant favoritism among them, the label is far from appropriate in general. Just because a man wants the freedom (unhindered by excessive government regulation and taxation) into earning a living in no way paints him/her as a racist.

It will be interesting as to the response you bleeding hearts give to the situation of unabashed and out-of-control looting and shoplifting in San Francisco. It appears to me that all races are involved and it looks to me as if it stems from blatant lawlessness. We need bigger prisons.

Honestly Phat, I don't understand the point of this.
What happened there is not close to what people normally mean by "shoplifting". By misrepresenting it as shoplifting, you only damage your own argument and destroy what little credibility you have left.
My credibility can only be preserved through honesty. Lawlessness annoys me. Even worse it scares me. I realize that what happened there is not ordinary shoplifting. It is a mob mentality in action. As for the charge that they claimed to be Christians, that is irrelevant. It is not what one claims but what one does. You guys even taught me that!
