quote: I think you mean vaccines which only protect against the symptoms - which is not the case of any of the COVID vaccines available.
quote: That’s pretty much true of every vaccine, so it doesn’t seem especially likely to be a problem with these,
quote: The massive reduction in hospitalisations alone saves lives. The reduced number of infections slows the spread. And fewer infected people means less risk of catching the disease - and fewer mutations in the virus. It’s the unvaccinated who are the problem.
quote: The rise of the Delta variant may have made it impossible to stop the virus right now, but vaccination is still a good thing.
quote: Sounds like the lies of someone who wants people to die.

Before 2019 it was widely known that vaccines that don't kill the virus can make it mutate into stronger variants. Since vaccinated people can still carry and transmit the virus, I would say this is most likely true. So what does the vaccine actually solve? In the long run more people may die. I think it widely known that bleach kills the virus. Drink plenty. Edited by Tangle, : No reason given.Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. I am Mancunian. I am Brum. Um, vaccines don't kill viruses, they build up a person's immune systems defenses so it can kill the virus. Are you really this ignorant or are you just being a troll?

And Forbes takes down the nonsense.
The essential points are as I said. The situation is different. Most of the virus evolution - including the emergence of the Delta variant - is taking place in the unvaccinated. And, another point: Vaccine development doesn’t stand still. If we need new vaccines they can be produced. It even worked for the chickens - the whole claim is based on a study of chickens - so it can certainly work for us.

It appears COVID also causes erectile dysfunction.
Erectile Dysfunction Risk 6 Times Higher in Men With COVID Perhaps headline should read "Stupid losers lose ability to reproduce." At least it means less anti-vaxxers. Back up to new infection daily numbers higher than anything this year. More hospital beds filled with Covid-19 cases than at anytime since August of last year. Most ICU beds filled with Covid-19 cases since last year.
It's time to recognize that no one who has not been vaccinated against Covid-19 should be allowed on any public transportation, in any public store or workplace, in any school or government building and that anyone showing signs of Covid-19 infection who cannot produce verifiable evidence of being vaccinated should not be allowed hospital admittance if there is another non-Covid-19 patient. There should be NO religious or philosophical exemptions and any applications for medical exemptions should require independent second opinions and verification. No one should be required to get a Covid vaccine but there is no possible excuse for allowing such people into the general population. Edited by jar, : more ---> mostMy Website: My Website

This would not be a problem if we just shot ‘em. Serious. Just give it to them.
Send out well supplied parties, lasso the ornery scum, wrestle them to the ground and give ‘em the jab. Unfortunately, with the mentality of stupid we are dealing with, so many of them would go home and cut off their own arms to stop the dreaded vaccine from getting to their heart and lodging the Gates Tracking Chip leaving severed arms dumped all across Trump land. That would make it easier to id the Nazis, for sure (they need only the one arm to salute with anyway) but I don’t think the courts would go for it and the stench of all those discarded arms would not be good. Maybe we shouldn’t do that.Eschew obfuscation. Habituate elucidation.

See Covid Breakthrough Hospitalization and Death Rates by State - The New York Times compares hospitalization rates and death rates of the vaccinated against the unvaccinated for 38 states and D.C. but doesn't roll the figures up into an average. There's wide variation between the individual states. For example, if you're unvaccinated then you're only 17 times more likely to be hospitalized for covid-19 in Alaska, but 185 times more likely in Texas. And you're only 7 times more likely to die of covid-19 in Indiana, but 85 times more likely in Texas.
I rolled these numbers up into an average. Across these 38 states and D.C., if you're unvaccinated then you're 42 times more likely to be hospitalized, and 21 times more likely to die. Unfortunately the figures were gathered before July when the Delta variant became dominant. Perhaps someone knows of a website that has figures for the period after Delta became dominant. -Percy

Home - Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center
I have been using the Johns Hopkins site. It has lots of data including hospitalization by county. I'm using it to help plan a road trip to Chicago and northern Wisconsin starting this weekend. Camping and avoiding people most of the way. Our friends in Chicago are tested multiple times a week, and are vaccinated and wear masks on campus. Our main worry is the possibility of needing emergency medical care with many hospitals at capacity, but that same problem is happening here at home too. The 4th wave of the Covid Intelligence Test is in full swing with the 5th, 6th, and 7th tests waiting in the wings. What if Eleanor Roosevelt had wings? -- Monty Python One important characteristic of a theory is that is has survived repeated attempts to falsify it. The situation isn't great around Chicago. But it isn't real bad either. I don't think there's a hospital overcrowding issue. I'm not sure about Wisconsin.

In Hidalgo County Texas with a 2020 Census count of 870,781 (the figures are really a total joke. They show that over half of the White population left the county) there are only 65 empty hospital beds total.
There was a major systemic effort by the Trump supporters in the county to encourage people NOT to respond to this census. As a result the new figures show 55.9% fewer white classification respondents. Over 300,000 fewer white classification respondents were found in this census so it was NOT a matter of other classifications increasing significantly and over 200,000 of those respondents were in the 18 year old and older classification. Every other classification did show increases. But the numbers simply make the reality even worse. It's almost certain that half of the white population did not leave Hidalgo County so the 65 empty hospital beds figure looks even worse than the census numbers would show.My Website: My Website |

Here in Orlando (and also Winter Park, FL) our hospitals are overflowing with Covid patients, so many of which need oxygen to breath that the local water utility can't get the liquid oxygen it needs to generate ozone to purify our drinking water. They are talking about possibly having to put out a boil water alert to the entire city soon if they can't get more oxygen deliveries! Of course the vast majority of the patients are unvaccinated, sigh!

They won't take the public health advice to wear masks or get vaccinated, but they'll boil water?
