I'm off cats for a while. My last cat made it to 23 and was in surprisingly good health until the last 4-5 months. She was an indoor outdoor cat and the best mouser I've ever had. I got her from my daughter when she was tiny, the only Siamese in a litter with 9 black siblings . Always slept on my bed and my wife says she pined for me when i was on a trip.
I sure miss her, but I've decided not to get anymore cats until I stop travelling.
