60 and older: 35So 300 Covid Cases in the younger kids and adults and 56 Covid Cases in the 50 and over segment.It's pretty clear from the numbers that our modern intelligent youth are capable of taking care of themselves and so no masking or vaccination requirements could be warranted.

I can only speak for myself but in such cases I feel pity; an almost overwhelming pity.My feeling for living antivaxers though is quite different. There I feel utter and complete disgust and consider such people as lower than whale snot and almost as despicable as the pathetic Right to Lifers.

You fail to understand that "Alternate Facts" actually sounds reasonable to a whole massive segment of US citizenry.

Well yesterday sister was notified that she was exposed to covid-19 from one family that came to the Christmas Pagent rehearsal and also to a two-year old that also tested positive as well as the parents of the two-year old. Also, my sister got a call from her daughter that the daughter was also exposed and under self-quarantine.In the two former instances the parents knew before coming to the church that they and their kids tested positive for covid-19 but in the latter case my niece was simply trying to help.One of the tenants in her apartment building has Alzheimer's and can be difficult to handle but she likes and trusts Jena so Jena was holding her hand and talking to her as they were taking her out to the ambulance. Jena also had her mask down since the old lady was frightened when she could not read faces; just voice was not enough to calm her down.About an hour later Jena got a call from the family saying that when they got to the hospital the woman tested positive for covid-19.Such is how the year will end.

My niece returned to work Monday after finishing her isolation after being exposed to someone with Covid-19.And today was informed that the person she was working with yesterday tested positive for Covid-19.Gives a whole new meaning to working 24 on/48 off.Edited by jar, : No reason given.

It's sad but I have to admit that I have reached the NLMP point when it comes to Covid-19 and US society.I'm fully vaccinated and will continue to get any new vaccine or booster that becomes available. I am retired and hunkered down and don't go into stores or bars or restaurants and wear N95 or KN95 masks and if in a close proximity situation, double masks, I wash my hands frequently and properly and will continue to do so.I feel sorry for the kids too young to get vaccinated that do get sick and also all the working people who simply can't avoid potential exposure.I recognize the human suffering and economic issues that exist and will show up related to Covid-19 and future pandemics.But I'm old, fed up with the utter stupidity that seems so common in the US today and have to admit that it is No Longer My Problem.I do all that I can without learning how to play the fiddle however I do have lots of hot dogs and marshmallows to roast over the fire.Rome was pretty in the years before the fire.

Because you are willfully stupid and think that just because you claim to have had covid-19 you have immunity.STUPIDITY writ large.You might as well claim that because you had the flu or a cold you had natural immunity.But as I said, your utter stupidity is No Longer My Problem.
