I know. I was joking. There are several plausible events that could and would wipe out modern civilization as we know it.
Yellowstone or other major volcanic eruptions such as Mt. Ranier
Asteroid
Nuclear War (as little as 5 warheads would do the trick) Civilization won't be wiped out by the events themselves but by the resulting human reaction to the event. If we don't reach out and help each other now, we certainly wont once resources are drastically altered.
