We never had a TiVo but our cable company rented us a DVR. I had 2 crash, so watched things I cared about fairly quickly. We switched to a streaming service and it's fine for some things but my biggest complaint is, seasons are as short as 6 episodes now. I assume those are projects with fairly low start up capitol. We adapted, my wife's watching preferences and mine are pretty different, so we each have our own system in different rooms.
We recently signed up on Apple TV so I could watch Foundation. I was disappointed and will probably drop it before the next season.
My sister and my daughter both have those coffee makers with a cartridge one shot thing. I just use a single cup filter holder #2 size and grind French roast beans. 3 minutes to heat the water and a couple more to brew and I'm good.

Watching some reruns via our streaming service
Over the holidays my wife and I each searched for and found some old British series that we had enjoyed decades ago. A Touch of Frost was about a police detective and Lovejoy was about an antique dealer who is a bit of a scoundrel. We have been enjoying them both and it has been a long enough interval since we originally watched them that while everyone is familiar each episode also feels new.
I don't know if anyone at EvC has watched Farscape but it is my all time favorite science fiction series. I have found it on several channels and just noticed that the version on Comet has been reformatted for the wider screens.

Re: Watching some reruns via our streaming service
A big factor with Farscape was, not only was it my favorite but it was my daughter's favorite too! She and I like a lot of the same music, books, movies, and television, but Farscape touched the same thing in both of us.
No other science fiction series or movie has come up with a more clever solution to all the aliens being able to understand each other, translator microbes injected at birth by all advanced galactic species, that colonize the base of the brain, .obviously!

But what about the anti-translator faction?
They end up going through life completely ignorant about everything.

I found Farscape on Amazon Prime. And on Comet.

I just watched a fascinating Nova, Butterfly Blueprints PBS S48 E23. It featured a good friend of mine who I have coauthored papers with. Lots discussion about structural colors, a feature of some of the dragonflies I study. Analysis at the nanoscale is helping humans design some very clever materials.
