Not fair.
Come on; Phat has never been exposed to any of the basics of the Abrahamic/Masoretic traditions. Officer Krupke would understand. Edited by jar, : No reason given. My Website: My Website

What about Cyrus, from 2 Isaiah?

Saul was annointed an earthly king by humans. Jesus was officially anointed through baptism by John the Baptist and as the story goes was verified through God Himself.
Jesus knew no sin. Saul had plenty of em. You have never read the Bible Phat.
Jesus took money from the commune/collective and spent it on luxuries for himself. Jesus vandalized and destroyed others property. My Website: My Website

You have never understood the Bible. The fact that you attack and criticize Jesus Christ, the central character and in fact the closest to GOD with your purposeful slander prevents you from being a serious teacher worth anything.
Jesus never spent money on Himself in any way not allowed. Who gets to police the "common treasury"? Who did it belong to? And what's ironic is that this same scenario of what belongs to "everybody" vs what belongs to a given individual will be one of the outright outrageous attempts by a liberal government to steal from the people. It figures that you would start by attacking Jesus. The common treasury belonged to everyone in the commune/cooperative, not to any single individual. The property he destroyed belonged to the owners of the stalls.
And once again you simply present another unsupported assertion without any evidence or reasoned argument. I did not attack Jesus but simply pointed out yet again what is actually written in the Bible stories. Edited by jar, : No reason given. My Website: My Website

Baptism is not anointing to Christ.
I am surprised you would see them as the same. Regards

I'm surprised you are not familiar with the Rite of Baptism when the infant is washed clean with water and then sealed by anointing with oil.
From the Rite of Baptism in the Book of Common Prayer. Consecration of the Chrism performed by a Bishop; The priest after washing the individual then seals the individual with the sign of the cross on the persons forehead using the consecrated oil. The Baptism While Jesus might not have been anointed, I certainly was. My Website: My Website

It isn't about "policing" anything. You're trying to use legality to weasel out of morality. "I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!" -- Lucky Ned Pepper

Are you thus saying that Jesus was immoral? It's amazing how satan uses you to twist scripture.

I said that YOU are confusing legality with morality. There was no legal framework in Jesus' community. Misuse of community funds was a moral issue, not a legal one.
Feel free to show anything that I have twisted. The only satan is within you. "I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!" -- Lucky Ned Pepper

That’s an answer worthy of the Christian Cult of Ignorance.
Anglican baptism practices are not the question. The practices of John the Baptist is the question. Feel free to provide evidence that John the Baptist included anointment as part of his baptism. Or better that he did so specifically - and only - for Jesus.
