I'm not at all sure what this thread is about.
When you are driving your car, you could close your eyes, pray and allow Jesus to guide you. But you don't do that. You look around to see where you are going and to avoid accidents. You depend on perception, rather than on faith.
Science works in pretty much the same way as perception, except that it is more organized and more systematic. If you reject science, you might as well reject perception.

Re: Peanut Gallery dogpiles Phat
If I claim that I have a "personal relationship" with Frodo, you may well respond that Frodo is simply a character in a book. That would be expected. But what you are essentially doing is acknowledging that I believe that Frodo exists and then attempting to hold me to the Frodo in the book...which you claim is the only Frodo who exists. And If I then claim that Frodo transcends the book and that a bit of Frodo exists in ALL of us, you will declare it all to be fantasy and then go back to Tolkien's "Bible" and insist that Frodo (of the book) clearly says to do A, B, and C and that I simply make up my Frodo and don't do the A,B, and C that Tolkien wrote HIS Frodo to do.
It seems to me that you have done a pretty good job of debunking your own view.
I channel my inner Frodo.
We all channel our internal values. But why personify them?
What's important is to recognize that we might be mistaken, and that we might need adjust our values accordingly.
The willingness to admit that you could be mistaken -- I've always taken that to be part of Christian humility. But I don't see much of that humility when I look at American conservative Christianity.

Re: One For AZ
He defends the Bible very well.
Oh, wow.
It's an exercise is carefully describing things in ways intended to fool the gullible.
And you fell for it.

Re: Though some are PRATTS, the worldview is defended
OK upon further reflection, the guy that made the two videos is a bit biased and annoying
I'm glad you recognize at least that.
The question is if he is lying.
I don't assume that he was lying. He could be mistaken but not actually lying. On such matters, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. But he was presenting nonsense, and that's a socially irresponsible thing to do.
I always was unimpressed and dismissive of the arguments made by folks such as Dawkins, Dennett and Carrier.
I learned something from reading Dawkins: "The Extended Phenotype". But I have not read any of his atheist books, and I have no interested in reading them.
I've watch a video or two by Richard Carrier. Yes, he comes across as having an axe to grind. I am not an admirer of Carrier.
Dennett is different from the others. I often disagree with him. But he raises good questions. I think that makes him a pretty good philosopher.
Keep in mind also that I believethat there is a spiritual war going on.
In your mind, perhaps. But there really isn't any such war.
3) GOD, A Force, A Ground of all Being, or an undefined spiritual reality exists. (Ringo is careful to distance this concept from the Christian God, for some reason)
Well of course, that is not the concept of the Christian God. This is what I so often see from apologists. They make an argument for a generic god (could be any of a thousand gods), and then just assert that it must be the Christian god. Perhaps they don't know any better, but it is a terrible way of arguing.

Re: Though some are PRATTS, the worldview is defended
I submit that it is impossible to defend either the idea that One God or many gods exist.
Something that I can agree with.
But then why do you repeatedly try to defend such ideas? Why not just keep it to yourself?

Re: Reality Phat. Try Reality.
The supernatural, if it exists, cannot be tested and verified objectively.
According to Michael Egnor, black holes are supernatural entities.

Re: You love making up quotes
"Experts reacting to a Project Veritas report ..."
From the Wikipedia entry for Project Veritas
quote:
Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010. The group produces deceptively edited videos ...
No, project Veritas cannot be relied on for credible evidence.
