The image you provided just ignores what's been explained and repeats your ignorance. In the context of vaccines, immunity doesn't mean actual literal immunity. There's not a person on this Earth who is literally immune to any virus. All anyone can have is pre-existing resistance created through a prior infection or vaccination. This resistance is in the form of antibodies specific to that virus, and of B-cells that remember past infections and can produce fresh antibodies. Those whose immune system includes the proper antibodies and/or B-cells is in a much better position to fight off future infections and is much less likely to infect other people. Masks and avoiding indoor gatherings are also important.
What do you hope to accomplish by repeating false information over and over again?

FYI Australia claims to be 90% vaxed and its worse than ever. That refutes most of what you babbled on about
Do you have a special misinformation site you use, because you can't seem to get anything right. Australia is 80% one shot and 77% both shots. Even if it were 90% how would it refute "most of what you babbled on about," because it's not possible to know who "you" is or what they "babbled on about" because you didn't reply to anyone, quote anything, or even mention a name.
You were basically trying to justify the atrocities as normal just cos its law. A sicko without morals
Well now you're just throwing hand grenades into the discussion in an obvious attempt to distract attention from the fact that you've been unable to present any true or substantive arguments.

Again, the average age of covid deaths is not 85. This incorrect figure probably comes from the fact that approximately half of covid deaths are people 85 and over, but that's not how you calculate an average. The average age is probably fairly high, though, likely in the 70's somewhere.
This is also disturbing in the lack of concern for the infections low-risk people cause in higher risk age groups.

Porkncheese Suspension Rescinded
Concerning the Porkncheese suspension, as I slowly caught up in this thread, reading and responding as Percy, I expected to eventually see a warning from a moderator, then see Porkncheese ignore or spurn the warning in spectacular fashion, and then see a one week suspension. But there was no warning from any moderator, just a suspension.
Moderator guidelines strongly advise moderators to warn before acting. Because that didn't happen in this case I am rescinding Porkncheese's suspension.
Porkncheese, this is your warning. Please discuss the topic constructively, which includes making a sincere effort to support your position with factual information. Those sincerely interested in constructive discussion have little difficulty figuring out how to do it. There will be no babysitting from moderators.
As I am a participant I will not be moderating this thread. I am just stepping in in this one instance to correct our failure to follow our own moderator guidelines.
AbE: I found the warning in the Belief Versus The Scientific Method thread at Message 416, but it was not specific to any individual, and Porkncheese never posted in that thread after the warning, so I am still rescinding the suspension.

Vaccination Advisable Where Pregnancy Involved
A study based in Scotland and released this week by Nature Medicine found that:
  • Unvaccinated pregnant women are more likely to become hospitalized for covid-19.
  • Their babies are more likely to die within a month of birth.
During the period studied, December 2020 until October 2021:
  • 77% of infected pregnant women were unvaccinated, more than three times more likely.
  • 90% of infected pregnant women who required hospitalization or critical care were unvaccinated, nine times more likely.

New Omicron Variant
There's a new omicron variant called BA.2. The original omicron variant is called BA.1. Initial indications are that BA.2 is about 120% more transmissible than BA.1. This is a much smaller increase than that of BA.1 over the delta variant, which was 500%. There is as yet no indication that it increases hospitalizations or is more vaccine resistant, but it is very early days in collecting data. It has spread significantly in the UK and Denmark, and there are already cases in the US. (https://www.medpagetoday.com/...ial-reports/exclusives/96833)

Re: New Omicron Variant
I saw on the news this morning that N95 masks are going to be available free from pharmacies across the U.S.
Here's how to get free N95 masks from pharmacies or community health centers
The story also mentioned that the masks have an electrostatic charge that makes them 10x more effective at filtering out particles.
My wife and I have been using N95 masks since they became generally available from Amazon, but staying away from other people has probably been the most effective strategy, along with full vaccination.
My wife has also perfected shopping online with curbside pick up for all our groceries. She has a spreadsheet, so she knows how much we have of everything and online price comparisons are a lot less time consuming than in-store shopping. She says she never wants to go back to pre-pandemic shopping.

Re: New Omicron Variant
I bought a supply of N95 and KN95 masks fairly early on and still have quite a few.
But I have not gone into a store in over two years now and have little or no incentive to do so in the foreseeable future.

Re: N95 masks
She anticipates it may be months before smaller health centers like hers get the N95 masks to distribute. She is hopeful but realistic.
Yeah, supply chains really have broken down in a lot of different ways during the pandemic. It has certainly exposed the deficiency of manufacturing of critical strategic supplies in the U.S. also.
Prices on lots of products have skyrocketed too. I use a lot of AA batteries in the electronic flashes in my imaging system. Energizer Ultimate Lithiums last about 4 times longer than alkalines but they are more expensive. The last batch of 100 that I ordered were $2.09 each, about 3x more than they were before the pandemic and take 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Yep we are feeling the same.
I did go into stores during the cross country trip at the end of August, but it was limited and fast for essential supplies. And we camped the whole way too.

Washington State trooper who refused to get vaccinated dies of COVID-19
quote:
Former Washington State Trooper Robert LaMay, who went viral when he chose to quit rather than get vaccinated against coronavirus, has died of COVID-19. He was 50 years old.
LaMay joined the Washington State Patrol in May 1999 but was forced to retire in October after refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. His final radio call, in which he told off Governor Jay Inslee, went viral online.
“Wish I could say more but this is it, so, State 1034, this is the last time you’ll hear me in a State Patrol car, and Jay Inslee can kiss my ass,” LaMay said in his final radio call, after which he dropped the radio, according to an online video.
The video was viewed millions of times and LaMay appeared on multiple TV shows, including on Fox News, where he said he and his family “don’t do vaccines.” His Facebook page was deleted last week when he fell ill with COVID-19 and was put on a ventilator.
LaMay’s condition continued to deteriorate and he died on Friday.
It's difficult to see this as anything but his own fault. To Serve and Protect the Public was clearly not his motto.
