Hmmmm, I can't seem to stay away from this place.

A solution without too many moving parts would be for the U.S. Olympic committee to buy a phone for each person on the U.S. team traveling to China. Give every person an account hosted on a committee server. Let each person load the apps they cannot live without and caution them all to leave their personal phone at home. Just load their most important contacts on their Olympic phone. Anyone stupid enough to take a computing device bigger than a phone to China deserves what ever infects it.

Traveling anywhere out of the country, especially in crowded conditions, for any reason, during the worst pandemic in a century, pegs my stupid meter.

I don't pay attention to the Olympics. I have always thought it was huge waste of money and that they should be held in the same place instead of moving them around. Historically the facilities built for the games are money pits and never pay for themselves. They are usually paid for by huge regional taxes. And they have not been amateur sports for a long time.

I saw on the news this morning that mixed doubles curling has already started in the Olympics, although opening ceremonies will not be until tomorrow.

The Olympic supporters/boosters/whatever should build a permanent winter Olympics setup in Greenland and quit the crappy way they move them around to different really expensive setups every 4 years.
