This looks like it would be fun.
Why? It starts with a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Big Bang is, how it is said to have happened, and what it means. Because of that, we will be spending all of our time correcting that base error, which will necessarily be rejected, and nothing will come of it. We'll spend hundreds of posts going nowhere.

Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.

Minds are like parachutes. Just because you've lost yours doesn't mean you can use mine.

Re: Guido Arbia's thread - put it in Is It Science?
This looks like it would be fun.
I agree, and The Sudden Dawn of the Cosmos and the Constancy of Physical Laws would be a golden opportunity to educate people on the physics.
Hopefully Guido Arbia would participate in the thread to keep it going.
I'd put it in Is It Science?

I'd put it in Is It Science?
To me, it looks like a topic in creationism, might be more appropriate in Theological Creationism and ID.

Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

Re: Guido Arbia's thread - put it in Is It Science?
To me, it looks like a topic in creationism, might be more appropriate in Theological Creationism and ID.
But the central question is whether physics laws are constant.
That would require scientific evidence to challenge them, not ad hoc wishy-washy theology fantasy responses.
Personally I lose interest on anything on the faith side of the forum.

Hey. I wish there was a category that could cover both. But I guess the topic should go wherever is most appropriate.
Sounds to me like Is It Science?

Is Creationism science? Is evolution? What is the nature of science, and is either one really science?

Re: Guido Arbia's thread - put it in Is It Science?
But the central question is whether physics laws are constant.
We know that they are not constant.
.
Newtons laws were different from those of Aristotle. Einstein had yet another set of laws. And now we have QM.
That would require scientific evidence to challenge them, not ad hoc wishy-washy theology fantasy responses.
I see it as more a philosophical question.
Personally I lose interest on anything on the faith side of the forum.
As do I. And I have already lost interest in Christian7's new topic.

Zygosity
re: Zygosity
Sorry, I didn't see the edit note "Took the "for Faith" out of the topic title. I think that shooting topics at an individual member is bad form (OSLT)."
I looked for explanation in the replies, didn't see one and assumed it was a copy error, I only saw the promotion note from Phat (Message 5): "Thread copied here from the Zygosity for Faith thread in the Proposed New Topics forum."
So I'll go with plain vanilla Zygosity.

Every once in a while I like to let a spammer have a chance, just for the ambience
The party in question looked pretty dubious, but I couldn't really pin any spammer history on him. His (2) spam messages have been banished to a viewable by admins only place.
About 95% of this forums registration attempts are by people I can document as being spammers, and they get permanently suspended without ever getting their registration approved.
Probably about half of those that I do approve, never complete the registration process, and just disappear from the record.
See EvC Forum: Information to get an idea of the number of spammers I reject. Note all the little red dots in the far right column.

Or something like that.

This place is remarkably clean of crap spam for an internet address. You do a good job.
I can imagine it would be easy to fake a registration then revert to scheme.
No intended slap at you and your efforts you great big beautiful Moose.

Copyright violation?
I’m a bit concerned about Tangle’s PNT Why I Don’t Buy the Resurrection Story
It reproduces an entire article with no indication that permission has been sought let alone granted.
A link with selected quotes would be appropriate- but certainly not the entire article unless permission has been granted,

MrID Admitting that He has Nothing?
MrID just made a "correction" to his proposed new topic, All About Biblical Kinds. It had previously been little more than a bare link to yet another one of his "articles". Now it is a rather verbose and meandering ad hominem admission that he has nothing.
Why does he even bother?
