29th anniversary of the "next enemy" - the post-Russia boogeymen.
February 26, 1993.
You always have you some bad guy.
The nationalists told me so.
(Edit. I said you always have to have YOU, not "yo". Typo made it look like I was blaming black nationalists. Lol. White shit was my target. Lol )

The media never polls Lybia, Tunisia, Tanzania, etc. But only white nation's opinion
The media stopped polling Africa a good while ago, when Russia and Putin are the subject.
The Pew Research Center did not like the pro Putin results, from 2017, so now only white nations get polled.
It would be different if you were a "person of the south" who suffered from NATO aggression.
NATO invaded Libya, and destroyed it. Countless humans were killed.
But it is just fine to invade a sovereign nation if they are not Anglo or very white. CNN tells us that every day. Fox News Sunday seemed to feel that way. FOX had the audacity to bring on their "black friend", Condi Rice, to tell us how bad it was to "invade a (white) sovereign nation", while CBS (They "have lots of black friends") had hosts that gave a history of Russian military events since 2008, starting with their lies about Georgia.
(Ossetians were supposed to be "victims" of Russia. FOX filmed Ossetians, in 2008, fleeing a deadly bombing. The questions were loaded to make Russia the bad guy. The refugees kept correcting the Fox questioner, by pointing out the fact that they were fleeing deadly aggression from the GEORGIAN ARMY!)
Putting aside the lies about individual events, they left out real issue - NATO AGRESSION!
The United States media is white supremacist. Plain and simple.

Re: The media never polls Lybia, Tunisia, Tanzania, etc. But only white nation's opinion
Check out the December 16, 2020 Pew Research Center poll on the supposed "international" opinion of Putin and Russia.
It is limited to 12 selected white nations, plus Japan and South Korea.
I suppose Africans need to get through the "reeducation" camp before they are worthy of holding an opinion.

Re: Bret Deveraux on the war
Putin attempted, 15 or so years ago, to join the EU.
I dont see any truth to some idea that he feels his nation will ascend while he wants "the west" dead.
Russia is not your typical white nation, and the disagreements - with "the west" - are epic.

Re: Who Reeducates Whom?
What do you know about the big "African giants" - South Africa and Nigeria?
What do the leaders feel?
What do the people feel?
You wont find out by watching CNN or FOX.

Re: This War Is Very Depressing To Me
Nate Silvers 538 site looked at recent polls and admitted more Republicans are anti-Putin than Democrats. Democrats are more pro-Putin.
Europeans are the most anti-Russia, but younger folks are more divided (close to 50/50) while older folks are insanely anti-Russia.
There has been some element of conservative support for Putin, among anti-war types, but that is - proportional reality - essentially a side issue.
(Media propaganda might distort and omit enough facts, to make it a big issue, in certain people's heads)

Re: This War Is Very Depressing To Me
You do not demobstrate an understanding of what is being discussed.
Prove to me that you undetstand what my Nate Silver (538.com) comment centered around.
I want a 200 word essay, from you. Call it an earnest post.

538 article:
Tge GOP is still largely skepucal of Putin - for now
See the reference to the Morning Consult/ Politico poll which shows that 20% of Democrats approve of what Putin is doing in Ukraine, while just 10% of Republicans do.
See the reference to the CBS/YOU GOV poll which finds that 4% of Republicans feel we should outright support Russia,in the conflict, while 5% of Democrats do.
Twist it all away, fascists!

PaulK is missing the point (plus telling lies).
The dishonest "Trumper" line is actually retarded dishonest because it implies that some sort of common anti-war conjunction means that someone is a general supporter of the broader issue agenda of a politician.
But, I want to get to PaulK's bullshit, and not spend to much time on that.
The bullshit is that he ignores the fact that Republicans have registered party members that have views that are not what liars like himself (and jar, Theodoric, AzPaul, etc.) claim.
PaulK and his ilk have NOTHING to back up their false accusations. And the available evidence shows that they are ignorant or lying.

Re: PaulK is missing the point (plus telling lies).
I get the feeling you don't mind piling up lies on top of lies.
I am not even sure if you are accurately describing Trump's views anyway.
The Russian invasion started on the 24th, not the 25th.
You lied about when the 538 article was written; it was not written before the war, or on the same day it started. It was written a day after it started.
You lied when you said Russia first invaded Ukraine in Feb 2022, anyway. It already happened in 2014!
You lied when you said that it was unimportant that 20% of Democrats supported Putin before Feb 25 (24), 2022. I know you are a lying liar, because you then expressrd outrage at Tucker Carlson holding similar antebellum views.
You hair splitting is obviously pure shit, but it misses the point that liars, like you, are trying to confuse everyone with lies about where certain Americans stand. It is poisonous and disgraceful.

Re: PaulK is missing the point (plus telling lies).
The poll was taken February 19-21 by Morning Consult/Politico.
Biden, on Feb 18 said he was "convinced" Russia would invade Kyiv with A MILITARY FORCE!
20% of Democrats then said that they at least somewhat agree with how Putin was handling the conflict with Ukraine.
Only 10% of Republicans at least somewhat agreed that Putin was handling the conflict.
These are facts.
(Not that "facts" are anything you have a concept of)

"We believe that they will target Ukraine's capital, Kyiv" (Biden, Feb 18)
Poll question came after Biden said he was "convinced" of military invasion.
"...approve or disapprove of how the gollowing are handling the conflict between Rusdia and Ukraine"
Then Putin was one of the following.
20% of Democrats approved of his handling.

What happened to the "Fairness Doctrine"?
People here feel that 10% of Republicans holding a favorable view of Putin is just too much to stomach.
I feel that it is a miracle that even 10% get enough (balanced?) information to be able to form an independent thought.
EvC has a mass of posters that have a fascist mindset, granted - but, even this lot clearly suffer from only hearing the imperalistic, expansionist, militaristic, "western" side in the debate.
The country will buy the b.s. Democrats will swallow the imperalistic cool-aid, and feel that it is "too Republican" to try to learn about the various sides in the (POTENTIAL) "debate", so Democratic views will start to mirror the anti-Russian views of Republicans.
John McCain & Mitt Romney (and Hillary, too!) were defeated by a war-weary electorate, that seemed to be growing in suspicion when it came to nationalism, imperialism & propaganda.
But, there seems to be a reconstitution at work. Masterful never-ending propaganda has managed to brainwashed EVEN IN THE INTERNET AGE.
And it sucks.
And it is scary.
*Can we please have a revamped *fairness doctrine, with fully updated rules governing search engines, social media, etc. My revamped Fairness Doctrine would be based around ADDING INFORMATION, not censorship. Make people's world smarter, not smaller!
