Because your behavior is anti-social and detrimental to the general public.
You are quite simply a parasitic virus factory.

Hidalgo County new cases back to crazy levels
Well, we are back to a daily average of over 1000 new cases. That's as high as at any period in the last couple years.

Great way to start 2022.

And you post another example of the lies committed by you and your sources.
Project Veritas is a well know site that has a long history of doctoring the evidence to fool fools like you.
See Snopes.com analysis of your source.
At best you are simply another sucker that has been conned and if you ever learned how to keep your mouth shut it would be okay.
But you can't.

Re: New Omicron Variant
I bought a supply of N95 and KN95 masks fairly early on and still have quite a few.
But I have not gone into a store in over two years now and have little or no incentive to do so in the foreseeable future.

test kits
The covid-19 test kits I ordered many months ago finally arrived and also the four test kits from the .gov site are shown as out for delivery.
Unfortunately, no symptoms and so no reason to test a test right now.

Re: Scientific American, Special Issue-March 2022
The Polio period pre-vaccine might come close.
I can remember when all the pools were closed and things like the fair and fireman's bull roast and the shrimp feast and kids simply didn't gather together even though it was summer.
The big difference was duration. The polio periods lasted weeks or months.

The problem at my age ...
When I have a doctor's appointment and they call to remind me they always go down a check list of symptoms and unfortunately, at age 79, the answer to almost all of them is "Yes".
Do you ache? Yes.
Do you have cold symptoms? Yes
Do you _____ ? Yes.
I'm old.
I ache.
I'm allergic to anything that is alive, was alive, was once nearly alive, was once near something that was alive, that might at some future date become alive ...
I have headaches.
I get chills.
I get hot.
I forget why I came in that room or why there is a note listing possible reasons I entered the room pinned to the door.

Looking at a small but for me significant data point curbside pickup will likely continue for a long time. My local HEB went through a recent site regeneration where about 25% of their lawn & garden space was removed to allow an expanded access area to curbside pickup and extended the number of parking spaces from eight to 26.

Re: US passes 1 million deaths
The good news is that the death rate is still under 2% of the known infected population; just over 1% in fact. Since it's most likely that the known infection number is grossly understated the actual death rate is more likely under 1%.
That's still unacceptably high and ignores the still developing long term effects of Covid-19 but better than might be expected.

Folk tend to forget that each new variant is in-addition-to all the prior variants and not a replacement of them.

Re: [Re: We're Giving Up Too Soon
It may not be true that getting spit in the face by an alpaca can reduce the effects of Covid-19 infections or that there is currently a study looking for 10,000 volunteers to test the effectiveness. The volunteers will be split into to two groups, one group will be exposed to a gob of just plain two hump camel spit while the other group receives genuine alpaca expectorate. Each group will receive two samples a day, one morning before eating and the other right before dinner. After 90 days and 180 days the findings will be compared and published.

Re: Lethality dependent on location
And in NYC during the early days there were simply no beds, no doctors, no treatments, no protective gear ... just about every imaginable shortage. They were sending patients out of town because they quite simply ran out of beds, space, doctors, nurses ...
