It certainly does, you Pharisee. He breaks the spirit of infallibility, if not the letter. You might as well say he's only infallible when he's facing Mecca or when he's wearing his special pope-hat. ... does that mean he has contradicted the Catholic dogma of Papal Infallibility?"I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!" -- Lucky Ned Pepper

How could they pay the rent? A Christian can't own even a frypan or a knife and fork? A Christian can't own a radio or a phone or a bicycle or a car? Can a Christian own a towel? What about a pencil? How would Christians be able to raise children if the parents give away all their possessions? A Christian can't own a business? Makes it real difficult to be a christian, yet that is what the man said. If you believe in this crap then your bible says exactly that. Bummer. I guess you don't qualify as a True Christian® TM © either. You still love your possessions more than you love your god. I guess your satan must be happy then too.Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned!

Remember Jesus was a Socialist if not a Communist. He lived in a communal setting off donated money and shared equally except when he wanted special oils and scents when he accepted anointment with very expensive oils that could have been sold to help the poor.
His excuse was she did good for him and he wouldn't be around forever but the poor would always be with them. So that's what Jesus did.

And Dredge, Phat,
I want to make plain that the solution to your problem here is not to go full-out street destitute preacher or to feel bad guilty you’re not Christian enough to give it all up. The solution is to lose the stupid that created Christian to begin with. You don’t need it. You can be a good humanist, still keep your retirement fund, and, best part, you’re not required to hate on anyone.Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned! |

Simply from a practical point of view your interptetation of those verses makes no sense. For example, where would Christians live if they gave up all their possessions? How could they pay the rent? Here's my take on this. Maybe two or three months ago, somewhere online I saw a question: What is it that conservatives want to conserve? I did not see an answer at that time. But my own answer is that they want to conserve privilege (their own privilege). At one time, it was about the privilege of aristocrats. It later morphed into the privilege of wealth. And these days it is often Christian privilege or white privilege. When Jesus said to give it away, my take is that he was saying to give up the privilege. He was saying that we should be part of the common community, and not require special privilege.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

One problem. There are no trustworthy Apostles at whose feet we should lay our goods. I certainly wouldn't give it all up to the government.

Phat, read the Bible, please.
Did God tell the individuals to use the seven good years to prepare for the seven lean years, or was the message sent in dreams to the head of the government? My Website: My Website

Irrelevant. Jesus told you to do it, so if you believed in Him you would do it. There are no trustworthy Apostles at whose feet we should lay our goods. If the "apostles" - e.g. your beloved lying apologists - rip you off, then that's on them. If you refuse to do it, it's on you.

Nobody's asking you to. But if the government came for everything you have, you would certainly give it up. They don't take no for an answer. I certainly wouldn't give it all up to the government."I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!" -- Lucky Ned Pepper

You're on the right track. According to Catholic dogma, the Pope doesn't have to "impeccible" (sinless) to be "infallible" (preserved from officially (ex cathedra) declaring doctrinal error). Papal Infallibility does not cover your High Priest’s physical actions but only his pronouncements on dogma. And a Pope's personal opinion is irrelevant to the pope's infallibility. It's possible (albeit unlikely) for a Pope to personally disagree with any infallible declaration that he is forced to make.

The only opinion that matters to me is that of the Catholic Church. You mean at most your twisted mental aberration of that opinion. Actually, your church's opinions are the lead evil in humanity so I'm not surprised you sign on and twist them even more. And my statement was not opinion. It was fact. Even the satan part. You believe that, right? Satan is probably very happy you are not a True Christian® TM ©. After all that is his job, right? To take souls from christ by making them abandon his word? You do believe in satan, don't you catholic?
And a Pope's personal opinion is irrelevant to the pope's infallibility. It's possible (albeit unlikely) for a Pope to personally disagree with any infallible declaration that he is forced to make. What's the difference since he's lying through his big pope hat to begin with. The infallible declarations of your pope add to the mountain of abuse humans suffer under your cult. This is one of the reasons humanity must be rid of you.Edited by AZPaul3, . Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned!
