Bring it down. Look what Hamas did to Israel. Trust me, if they had the weapons they would have done worse. (They still would...whats left of them.) We have a lot of shoplifters in our store, and many of them speak no English. They look at us as if we are nothing and walk right out a fire exit loaded with hundreds of dollars worth of goods. What would Jesus do about that? Thou shalt not steal! Now look...im no grinch. If a guy is hungry and grabs a sandwich, I look the other way. But when organized criminal enterprises steal from American businesses and force many locations to either close or employ armed guards then the situation is getting way out of hand. Corporate Loss Prevention spent two weeks at our store all of the way to closing time. They have the authority from Corporate to physically confront people and take back the merchandise. We literally had 6-8 carts full of recovered goods every shift. 20 tide pods. Razors. Wine. Beer. carts of meat. The store loses $4000.00 a day. And yet due to lenient policies on crime, nobody can be charged with a felony as long as the recovered goods do not exceed $2000.00 (In Colorado) Thats according to Alexa. I thought the amount was lower...like $900.00. One guy taunted them, saying he would be back tomorrow. He later came back the same night and stole $200.00 more under their noses, ducking out of a fire escape. Another guy pulled a knife on them. What *would* Jesus do? Arm guards? Taze them? Look the other way? allow them to keep stealing? What do you think Jesus would do with the people massed out our southern border, the people who are hungry, lack shelter, and are fleeing violence in their own country? Personally I pray for most of them except the repeat offenders who fight the security. We are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves, but that does not mean leaving our doors unlocked and inviting all of the homeless poor disenfranchised masses into our living room. Some of them are on drugs. Some of them have knives and guns. Some of them would hurt you or your children.

The gold was too heavy for the Apollo astronauts to carry. Plus it was not on the science agenda. On the moon, 1 pound of gold would be 6 times lighter but would still be one pound.

I don't think you know what the word "authoritarian" means. If sanctions are authoritarian then every president in the modern era has been an authoritarian.
If so, every president is wrong. One does not weaponize the global reserve currency. It should be neutral. Freezing assets is another issue, but keep in mind that such behavior drives former allies into the BRIC-yard.

We have a lot of shoplifters in our store, and many of them speak no English. Illegal immigrants commit crimes at a much lower rate than US citizens.

remember - a pound is a unit of weight. a kilogram is a unit of mass.
on the earth's surface 2.2 kilograms WEIGHS about a pound. yes, on the moon a gathering of gold enough to weigh a pound on the scale on the moon would still weigh a pound, but it would be about 6 times as much gold. 2.2 kg of gold would weigh about a pound on earth, but only 1/6th of a pound on the moon, but it still be 2.2 kg. please keep weight and mass separated in your brain."I'm the Grim Reaper now, Mitch. It simply means having a method of screening desirable s from undesirables. Interesting. Who decides what is "undesirable?" How does a person become "undesirable?" Also interesting is the specific language you use. Not just the choice of the word "undesirable," but "an undesirable" or "undesirables." Your language implies that these are objects, things, not people.
There are many terror groups that seek to harm the US. Curiously, this has never even once been the result of immigrants illegally crossing the US border. Even the 9/11 hijackers had legal visas (some of which I think were expired, but that still means they entered legally). Most (read: nearly ALL) mass shootings and other terror attacks in the US are the acts of US citizens. Not even naturalized immigrants, but natural-born US citizens.“The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion (either as being the received opinion or as being agreeable to itself) draws all things else to support and agree with it.” - Francis Bacon "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers “A world that can be explained even with bad reasons is a familiar world. But, on the other hand, in a universe suddenly divested of illusions and lights, man feels an alien, a stranger. His exile is without remedy since he is deprived of the memory of a lost home or the hope of a promised land. This divorce between man and his life, the actor and his setting, is properly the feeling of absurdity.” – Albert Camus "...the pious hope that by combining numerous little turds of variously tainted data, one can obtain a valuable result; but in fact, the outcome is merely a larger than average pile of shit." - Barash, David 1995... "Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends." - Gandalf, J. R. R. Tolkien: The Lord Of the Rings "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." Nihil supernum

Then on the moon your scale would only show 2.72 ounces, not 1 pound.
