I have wondered if the historians see the view that the Great Pyramid of Giza is aligned to true North, true south, true east, true west as acceptable. If so then do they accept that there were accurate instruments from the past that were beyond the fusion of the separate technology of engineering and (also) measurement that were were able to fuse into the current buildings of the modern age?
Then:
If that is acceptable to consider as acceptable and accurate, then why is it so controversial to see Orion's Belt as the motivation for the ground location for the Great Pyramid of Giza and the two pyramids nearest to it? The alignment with Orion's Belt seems far more technologically feasible than the true North, true south etc. alignments. Why is the Orion's Belt alignment with Giza so difficult to accept?
I am more concerned about the lack (?) of knowledge we possess (?) about the true North alignment technology of the past.
This is not about creationism. This is not about numerology. This is not about anything about a metaphysics debate. This is not even about little green men showing up 5000 years ago to help build pyramids.
I am wondering how relevant the questions are to our own understanding of how advanced we were in the past, and whether we should recognize and teach our society about our past in better ways than before.
