The original easter with the decorated eggs and the bunnies and all those fertility ceremonies was traditionally celebrated on the first full moon after the spring equinox (presumably so you could run naked through the woods without running into trees or tripping on roots (but tripping on something else was okay))
That is today (the 5th)
Enjoy.

Why such a funny way to calculate it
Seriously this is the reason that there is such a funny way to calculate when "easter" is celebrated. It is just one more festival that was adopted by the early church. They just moved it to the next sunday ...

Re: Why such a funny way to calculate it
Can anyone explain to me the connection between this pagan festival and the whole resurrection concept? If anything that would be an historical date, with an anniversary at the same time every year wouldn't it?

It's a brand new year brand
yes, it is the new kiloday metric format with 10 day weeks and 10 week months with 10 months per kiloday "year" no longer tied to the archaic solar period as we move forward into the new age of man free from old agriculatural seasonal ties. Days are now divided into 10 hours with 100 minutes in an hour and 100 seconds in a minute. The "first day" of every month is a holiday and days 8 to 10 are rest (weekend) days. People wishing to observe any special days pertaining to their faith will need special dispensation, as this system is no longer biased for any one religion.
This resolves all problems with leap-years and changing annual periods with the rotation of the earth slowing down as that just doesn't matter anymore in this system of recordkeeping.
Enjoy.
