You aren't interested in honest debate, but in trying to attack me...
I imagine that, like me, she's more than interested in honest debate, and partakes of it with a number of posters - just not you. After all, what would be the point? Attempts to engage you in honest discussion universally result in gibes and insults in lieu of actual exploration of points.
If it's honest debate you want, why don't you try debating honestly for once?

Re: Hairy Gorillas or Harried Guerrillas?
Oops, good point. Missed an "r". Somehow my dictionary didn't catch that one...

Focusing on the Topic
The discussion board format lends itself to feeling slights when none were intended, and can quickly escalate into intentional and overt slights and then full-scale mudslinging battles. It takes some practice and some willpower to just ignore them and move on, but administrative assistance is available for those who need it.

So noted. Not exactly my finest hour, I guess.

That's simply not true Crashfrog. I am quite capable of carrying on peaceful, honest debate, and even when I do return fire I still dedicate most of my posts to the actual points being discussed (of course, that's impossible when replying to you because you don't address any of the actual points - you just practice guerilla warfare). That some people completely ignore the actual points I mention and instead focus only on the tit-for-tat posturing - and then only one side of that, as if I am the only one who does it - tells us more about them than it does about me.
Now, the problems usually start when someone like Black stuffs words into my mouth - something that you too have done several times in the past at this site and something that Black did in this very thread - or someone like you or AbbyLeever jumps in from the sidelines with nothing but petty little snipes and posts dedicated to mudslinging, or MrHambre accuses me of being a Creationist and also goes further by distorting things to try to pretend such is the case, and so on.
If my opponents acted in a fair and honest manner, exchanges would be quite different.
Why don't you give it a try? Why don't you let go of the personal grudge you STILL have against me.

Re: correction in post tree
AbbyLeever just said a few posts ago:
quote:
AbbyLeever: He [DNAunion] has gone so far as to take out of context quotes from two different posts of mine (separated by a series of other posts and about different things) to give the impression that I have contradicted myself, when in fact there is no such contradiction.
Well now, let’s all look at the facts. First, AbbyLeever posted this:
quote:
AbbyLeever: I didn't claim that you made errors.
Then, he made ONLY 1 MORE POST directed to me, where only old points were rehashed - and nowhere in THAT post did AbbyLeever say I had made any errors - then, in the very next response to me AbbyLeever stated:
quote:
AbbyLeever: You are in error. Again.
Again? Gee, wouldn’t that mean AbbyLeever is claming that I made errors before?
Now, AbbyLeever may not have literally stated that I had made errors when he claimed he hadn't, but his second statement surely gives us reason to believe that he did implicitly state that I had.
AbbyLeever's attempt here to convince people that I had been, and I quote, willingly dishonest, only goes to show us that HIS honesty might need to be questioned.
PS: Note also that I did not say that AbbyLeever had contradicted himself: I just posted his two quotes, without comment. Funny that AbbyLeever himself considers his own two statements to appear to be self-contradictory.
PPS: I find this statement by AbbyLeever, in the one post that intervened between the two of interest, quite interesting.
quote:
AbbyLeever: I ... refuse to get into a one-upmanship contest.
Yeah, right! :-) Go back and look at his posts that followed that one. Gee, no sign there of "one-upmanship" on his part, right?!?!
