Sorry if this is a repost. Quite likely, but I haven't been around long enough. :-)

Actually I like it! If you just took out the word Creationist in there I'd think it was a gag on Evos. Lizards magically turning into birds. Love it.

Lizards magically turning into birds. Love it. Wow, Tal. This just went way the hell over your head, didn't it. Somehow that makes this both more funny and a little scary at the same time...

Wow, Tal. This just went way the hell over your head, didn't it. Somehow that makes this both more funny and a little scary at the same time... Did you read the previous sentence, or just selectively ignore it?

Certainly the previous sentence was read. It's essential to understanding why the joke is so successful. Keep on posting, this is a humor thread afterall. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

What do you think, Jar? Would it be more funny to explain it to him, or let him go on as he was? Would he understand even if we told him directly why his comment was so funny?

Hey Tal, the fact that the lizard turns into a bird IS the joke. Because it's a common missrepresentation of evolutionary theory by the Creationist crowd. Which is why your suggestion is funny. You are essentially proving the jokes point. Basically, the joke is on you.
