This thread is intended to be a place for us to get off something off our chests in a quick manner. It is intended for random rants and perhaps a few responses. If you want to debate a point brought up in one of these random rants, go and propose a topic.

Rant on 'Collapse of Darwinism'
I just watched a video called "Collapse of Darwinism". You can look for it on youtube if you want.
Throughout the video, the narrator kept saying that evolution and abiogenesis are all based on random chance. Goddamn it, that is downright a fucking lie. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy fucking neighbor! There is absolutely nothing in the video that is not either a quote mine or downright lie.
I don't know why I sat through the whole thing and managed to not have my head explode.

Re: Rant on Missing Citations
You can look for it on youtube if you want.
Telling people to "look it up for yourself" ought to be considered a violation of forum guidelines. Posting no link at all is worse than posting bare links. This is particularly bad among the fundamentalist crowd who are fond of claiming "the Bible says... " and then neglecting - or even overtly refusing - to back up where it says any such thing.

For crying out loud, I already gave you everything you needed. Just go to youtube and type in "collapse of darwinism".

That is partially true. Only natural selection is deemed to be non-random. Everything else is-- lest you say that nature has a mind and a will that steers beyond unguided processes.

Atheists; Atheists; & Feminists
One thing that really upsets me are those atheist knobs who go around trying to prove silly things like "Jesus didn't exist", and 'supporting' their arguments in a way that only demonstrates their inability to actually read the texts without bringing their own Christian presuppositions to it”which, of course, is exactly what they accuse Christians of doing.
Also not a fan of those fundamentalists (atheist or theist)...
and, oh yeah, I hate feminists...

Re: Rant on 'Collapse of Darwinism'
I have previously seen that video, it falls into the usual category of creationist videos on youtube. They tend to make grand sweeping statements of truth, without any attempt to back their claim, as if the mere declaration is proof enough. I do highly recommend the series 'why do people laugh at creationist?'
http://youtube.com/watch?v=BS5vid4GkEY
There are 9 parts last I checked.
I also love how the debate between Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron against the Rational Response Squad, continue to use the same 'evidences' That have been show directly to them to be false. They just hope to get the full usage out of each lie before its exposed to every last person.

How delightful for you. Myself, I get a bug up my ass about incoherent, internally inconsistent rants like the steaming one you just laid for us, here.
Also not a fan of those fundamentalists (atheist or theist)...
Oh, "fundamentalist atheist"! I guess that's what passes for droll amongst the "mature theists" these days.

Re: Rant on 'Collapse of Darwinism'
This is another interesting one where a guy makes an attempt to explain away a lack of flud evidence and create flud evidence by simultaneously saying that the sea floor spreading between the Americas and Europe/Africa is cause by subduction...
DOES NOT COMPUTE?!??!!?!
I just had to share.

A lie is a deliberate falsehood, deliberate being the operative word. Is it that he was lying, or that he's misinformed? Or there is another option: He's right.
If natural selection is the only non-random process within the theory of evolution, then the remaining percentage is random.
Of all the things you chose to rant about concerning creationism, I would think this would be the very last thing. There are plenty of horrid arguments made by creationists. The one you are ranting about doesn't hold a candle to this one.
The video you are about to see is the WORST creationist argument I've ever heard.

Look, do yourself a favor and learn some programming. Then use the monte carlo method to solve a physical (preferably chaotic) system.
In other words, the bulk of your program will be calling up random numbers. You only need a single line of if-then. When you're done, come back and we'll talk some more.

Those evolutionary simulators are so oversimplified that they eventually will produce the desires of the programmer, which is in no way representative of actual biological systems.
Besides that, those functions are at random, so I'm unclear on why you would mention it. Nonetheless, its artificial selection guiding these processes which does not mimic natural selection since there are vastly more variables associated within NS.
These models basically start out with a few squiggly symbols on a 10 x 12 inch LCD. Then they bump in to each other. The more they collide with one another, the more they morph in to a new character. Of course, they are all bound to collide eventually. Its a statistical destiny as long as you leave the program turned on for a considerable length of time.
