It transpires that I'm heading for San Francisco for my holiday this coming July and staying near Walnut Creek. I'll also be Disneylanding in LA for a few days.
Since my trips across the Atlantic are few and far between and this might be my last for quite some time, I thought I'd make enquiries of anyone on the board who is based close to where I'll be.
It would be interesting (and possibly terrifying!)to meet any of you from the board and if there were a few of us we could have a general get together.
Mods, can this be bunged into Coffee house please?

Trix I would LOVE to meet you, unfortunately I am no where near California. Come on, wouldn't a trip to Wisconsin be much more fun than Disney Land????

I value my life!!
Do you think you could sell that to my son who'll be 7 by the time of the trip? No, neither do I and I have no desire to be ripped limb from limb by a disappointed and murderously peeved Munchkin. He's packing already!

Not in CA. But anyone who finds themselves in Chicago is welcome to swing by for a drink.

I think I'm going to be in Chicago in a couple months.
As much as we butt heads online, I bet we would get along just fine in real life (in person).
I'd be willing to meet-up with someone if they were going to St. Louis.

Yeah, I always assume people's real life personas are more likeable than their online ones. Feel free to drop a line when you're in town.

Chicago, eh?
Go Colts! (since the Vikes sucked this year)

I agree (and I'm waaay nicer in person) but for some reason I tend to think that your just as much of a smartass in person as you are online .
Not that I have a problem with smartasses, besides, they're way cooler than dumbasses

You know, I just might do that. I have a buddy that just moved to Chicago and was planning on visiting him sometime soon (months).

*shrugs*
I live in Chicago, but I grew up a New England boy. Unless you start smack-talking the Red Sox, I don't really care.

Red Sox hate the Yankees.
That's good enough for me.

Well, if anyone is taking a vacation in the Galapagos, f'rinstance, let me know (you almost invariably have to overnight in Quito).
