It's finally spring here in New England, and at last I can take a picture looking out my back door that, though it still isn't in the same league as the Coragyps' avatar, at least doesn't include any snow:
Post your spring "lookin' out my back door" photos here!

What's a backyard?
This is actually the forward side yard at my folks, where I was this last weekend, plus the front yard of a neighbor plus the side yard of another neighbor.

Great photos, keep 'em coming'! Let's broaden it to spring photos of anywhere in your local neighborhood. For those of you in the southern hemisphere, well, do your best!
Happy spring, all!

Brrrr, winter arrived today. Dropped way down to 21C above. Not quite my backyard, but just across the Bay.

Incidentally, my superior half is a decent photographer - and has managed to capture the soul of Manchester quite well. For the genuinely curious, take a look at her collection

Wisconsin in Spring
I'll add the "out my back door" photos tonight when I get home, but here is a link to some local* pictures I've taken this spring.
Asgara's World
*local meaning around Wisconsin, though the Mosquito Hill Photos and the spring flower pictures from my sister's yard and my workplace (fvtc)are local.

You're not wrong, some lovely shots there, great colours.
I've always womdered how you do that thing where some of the picture is black and white and some is colour.
I guess it's just carefully selecting the area in Photoshop.

She didn't use photoshop for it - she has a clever camera that can do it on the fly if you treat it right.

Oyster Bay
Oyster Bay fills up my backyard:
My boat, Pearl, is the middle one, and we get out quite often. One thing nice about the Pacific Northwest is its mild climate. I leave Pearl out there year-round. She actually dries herself out in the rainy winter months, because the water temp. exceeds that of the air, setting up a nice convection inside her hull and leaving no place for mildew to grow (just in case you're interested).
