I just read this.
Apparently, Steve Irwin has died due to an accident involving a stingray while filming a documentary.
The Worst Day Possible
I can imagine what his family's going through right now, and I want to send my condolences. This really, really, sucks.

All a man's knowledge comes from his experiences

kuresu
I ,too, am sad about the loss of Steve and the world is a lot poorer for his passing. That said I think the man must have experienced the equivalent of a dozen lifetimes by way of his immersion in nature so I cannot feel bad for him in that way.
I do hope his family are able to cope with the loss and I really think they deserve our thoughts and respect at this time.

Me too!
He was a wonderfully enthusiastic presenter who managed to bring the magic of the natural world into your sitting room.
His way of being himself and being excited every time, hooked my young son (he's six) and led to some very educational and fascinating conversations, totally unexpected from a Power Rangers fanatic.
I know that, at least in this house, he will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children who must be totally devastated.

Sad sad day.
The Crock hunter will be missed. He was only 44 but died doing what he loved to do. I hope when my turn comes it is the same doing something I love and amoung friends. He passes on a legacy to his family.
