Anyone know anything about the fundie front organisation?
Here are the classroom materials they want schools to use -

I'm already alerting all and sundry amongst my contacts in the educational system to be aware of this front organisation.

Those teaching materials are dripping with mendacity.
In the finches cartoon I noticed this topical gem.
Just as an artificial breeder's power to change a species is limited, so too is the power of natural selection. Biological change has distinct limits.
Do you reckon the kids will ever find out exactly what those limits are?

Just the publicity they'll want...
I don't think something like that will hold much sway in the UK, other than, perhaps as a rightwing backlash against multiculturalism.

Yes and no - they are already in the process of writing to all the schools in the UK. A busy headmaster is likely to think "oh this looks ok" without realising the intent. All I'm doing is providing a red flag (because equally a busy headmaster is going to consider the red flag that's been raised and throw the stuff in the bin unread I didn't come down on the last raindrop you know.. I know how the game is played.)

Here's some model answers for any GCSE students reading for the Irreducible Complexity worksheet:
1. What is the question that Professor Michael Behe is trying to answer?
How to make science fit his faith.
2. What is his answer to this question?
"I'll just make up some neo-creationist canard".
3. What scientific evidence does he provide for this controversial conclusion?
None.
4. What is meant by ”irreducible complexity’?
"I can't explain this". It relates to a biological system that cannot form via natural mechanisms except when it can form through natural mechanisms.
5. What is the bacterial flagellum? How does it work?
A current target of a god-of-the-gaps argument.
You find something that science cannot completely explain to your satisfaction, and place your omnipotent being of choice there.
6. Does Behe reject Darwin’s theory completely? What gives you this impression?
As good as. He seems to have lost his ability to form scientific arguments.
