I'm not religous, nore and I more closed minded based on facts. 3000 Years ago someone would laugh in your face if you told them they could send a voice conversation through thin air that you can not see. But then today, who needs evidence to know there's hundred's if not thausands of telephone calls, communications and life threatning activities passing through our bodies that we can not feel nore see. Someone with the right tools however can make a difference. If the person who discovered electro-magnetic radiation was a evidence person, they wouldn't have been a believer in something they have yet to prove or establish evidence for.
You wouldn't know what getting hit by lightning was like until you've been hit by it. So how do you know God exsists unless you've been lucky to see a miracle? I haven't seen yet myself. Yet there are millions of people that claim they have, so we deny that as not evidence? I slightly lean towards the exsistance of a supreme creator otherwise I would be entirely closed minded which I would perfer to think of as not, as a sicence minded person there are far more things in the universe than Humans come close to understanding.... but give it some time and maybe we'll figure it out.
One one side of the storey, yeah why can't God just end all the bad stuff, but on the other hand, that would be remarkable pateince and consideration we're not capable of ourselves to not pre-determin peoples thoughts and operations. I know I'd spew if I found out I wasn't making my own choices in life like a computer program. The bible mentions (and I think humans can relate to this) God turned away from his people because of the way he was reacted to by humans. Unless you're a person that gets so pissed of with what you don't like you wipe them out instead.... kinda sounds like the noah's arc thing was a discovery just like a scientest... you don't know what it's like to take life until you've taken it, or discover DNA until you stumble accross it.
Here's a great concept we seem to forget, if following what some people would call the book of fiction installs better morals in a person, that stops someone from jumping of a bridge, that makes someone do something nice they were inspired from a fiction book to do, who care's who's race for evidence is more important?
Science and medicine can be a great thing, but if we didn't bother polluting the environment with the tools to manufacture and create fancy labels, well..... get the pictire. The only wrong answer to God or Evolution is to think one exsist and one doesn't, that's as arrogant as the choice you'll make over the next 12 months to add more crap to the environment after reading this post. We choose to be arrogant towards everyone else and people that will be here when we're not.
Humans will never figure out what happened before we were inveted or created.... evolution or creation.... what created the cell? that made that, that made that, that made that? We weren't around then, and no one else can talk to us to tell us why. But if a scientist did, you can garante they'll know how to live forever. Personally I think a lot of people don't think God exsists because of the same reasons Aliens haven't landed here... they're not here, they're not coming, and even if they did who would want to be apart of kaos, a race that consumes all resources with only thought for the next person rather than let's just walk away from this major discovery so no one could possibly get hurt.
At the end of the day, there's not many neturalists like me around, but I'd rather spend another moment in time reminding people they have family, friends, and other people they can help on this planet, rather than fuss over creation or evolution.

Well, yes afterall none of us were around when any of 'this' happened so your neutral 'view' of things is quite logical. My real reasons for believing in creation is not because of evidence, It's because I have faith in what I think is God's word, without that faith it is difficult to describe to another what that faith IS. I can only vouch that my own personal experiences (when I have acted on God's words) have came to pass as surely as God says it would, and if he doesn't lie to me about personal things why would he lie to me about fundamental things. Personally I think if you ask God if he is real he will answer you, but ofcourse you have to believe he can hear you, which is I guess, faith.

Seriously now - can you say that for sure? In past times we said many "make believe" things would never take place - like going to our moon, etc. but these things happened. It may take a long time but I believe that we eventually WILL find out "The Truth". Even if it happens after we die and meet God face to face!
