Author | Topic: Hydroplates unchallenged young earth explains Tectonics shortcomings! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
simple  Inactive Member |
There are so many things, like scattered undersea volcanoes that the Hydroplate clearly explains much better than the embattled plate tectonic theory! Like "..if a chain of volcanoes means it's plate is drifting, does an isolated volcano mean a plate is not drifting?"

Hi Simple,
I'm going to let this one go for now, but you have started 4 different threads today. One I closed and directed to a previous thread. http://EvC Forum: Why are evos refusing to debate Hydroplate theory with experts? There is also a thread started in response to an off topic debate you started on another thread. Ned is patiently (ok..not so patiently) waiting for you there. http://EvC Forum: Fossil sorting for simple I am going to ask that you stop starting new threads for now and spread your energy between this thread and the two linked above. quote: I agree, there are a lot of things...

quote: Embattled? Oh, I get it! Sort of like how someYECs say that evolution is about to collapse ... for the last 150 years!
quote: I didn't know that plate tectonics was supposed to explain EVERYTHING... Please confirm this before proceeding. Or do you think that no one ever noticed that there are isolated volcanos?

..Good, then please explain them Well, Mr Brown says that if they were, as claimed by proponents of pt THEORY indicitations that a plate was drifting would it not stand to reason isolated ones would seem to speak to a logical mind of some other possibility?
..I didn't know that plate tectonics was supposed to explain EVERYTHING .. wow how easy you go on the ropes, no wonder no one will actually debate Walt! Of course pt doesn't explain everything! (It's only, like evolution a THEORY!)

Ok Simple,
I hope you didn't think that your replies in the other threads were what I had in mind. This thread is going to be watched very closely. The topic is hydroplate theory. If it deviates into fossil sorting by the flood or Brown's debate offer I will close this thread immediately. I also suggest strongly that you pay attention and reply to http://EvC Forum: Fossil sorting for simple. This is a specific post to you from the forum Administrator. AdminAsgara Queen of the Universe

OK Queenie. Glad you'll be watching closely, you might learn something! Unless you really think you're a queen, and know everything!

I know that this is an official warning. I made some "simple" suggestions, redirected some posts to more relevant threads, and let you know where others were attempting to discuss issues with you. These suggestions were more to help you than to hinder you. Spreading yourself too thin can be quite a concern for creationist posters here. There are few of you and threads seem to be jumped on by several opponents, leading to new posters to bail out quickly.
If arrogance is going to be your reply to moderation in these forums, I assure you that suspension is the next step. [This message has been edited by AdminAsgara, 02-05-2004] AdminAsgara Queen of the Universe

thanks for your simple suggestions. No thank you to me discussing where I don't want to, which is outside my thread. I don't know what your problem is, what debate on this thread have you attempted to 'moderate'? Did you think not thinking you really were a queen was arrogant?

Wow. An actual geology question I know the answer to (you have NO idea how rare that is). Pick me! Pick me!
There are three different reasons for intraplate islands: hot spots (weak areas of the crust where stationary thermal plumes in the upper mantle create volcanos which then drift away as the plate moves on - ex. Hawaiian chain); tectonic control clusters (rather than plate boundaries, these clusters lie along shorter lines of crustal weakness - ex. Canary Islands and Cape Verde Islands); and isolates (former ridge islands that broke off from the ridge and went sailing out on their own carried by the newly formed plate fragment - ex. Asencion and St. Helena). In addition, some intraplate islands may actually be fomer continental fragments that went off on their own (the Seychelles is an example - there's good bathymetry to show a continuous basement associated with the Madagascar-India part of old Gondwanaland). So coach, did I pass?

Third time of asking, simple: pick a chapter in Walt's online book. I (we) will rip it a new 'un.
Center for Scientific Creation – In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood N.B. : I sort of think that the Walt Brown that's the Socialist candidate for president might be a different guy.

quote: This does not explain the isolated islands. Please address my questions. If Walt's theory is so explanatory, what is the explanation?
quote: There are obviously several reasons why there would be isolated islands in the ocean. All of them compatible with PT. My point is that, like a typical absolutist, you seem to expect PT to explain everything and if it doesn't it is invalid.
quote: I recommend that you refer to your dictionary regarding the definition of 'theory'. As far as I know we all refer to evolution as a theory. What is your point here?

If I'm repsponding to the wrong thing, don't be offended. I am thinking your post was a reply to something, I can't see what on this thread though? If the answer or response was for me, maybe you could clear up what it's supposed to relate to? thanks

You're making it very difficult to tell if we've got your attention. The moderators are here for everyone's benefit. The advice that you're spreading yourself too thin was good advice. It has been a common mistake in the past for Creationists. A few quality posts are much preferred over shotgunning many threads, and the discussions that develop much more profitable. Please let me know that you've read and understood Message 11 of the Fossil sorting for simple thread via a reply to this message.
