It's meant to be a current affairs show - each episode (there were about 6 and then the special) covered an issue such as Drugs, sex,crime etc. They would get celebrities to endorse silly messages - one DJ did an ad that said "perverts have more genes in common with crabs than real people - There’s no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact". Page not found - Garbled Online Phil Collins talking about ways to detect paedophiles: if someone shows you a model of your home town and all the houses look like penises." Not just yet...
I just watched Mrs Slocombe make comments on her pussy this past weekend, so it's not gone yet... If the talk of censorship is real, it's all quite silly. This show has been aired on public television in the US for the past twenty years. If it was going to lead to the downfall of society, I'm sure it would have happened by now.

I am starting to understand why you Brits kicked the Puritans over here. It almost sleyed by when I read the following from the article:

Thankfully us Yanks have cable/satelite and don't have to rely on public broadcasting for our dose of British humor. Southpark and the like are tame compared to what you can get on normal TV over here in the UK.

REALLY???? WOW! The Uk is alot different from the USA! I have learned alot about the UK from here. Anyway anyone see South park episodes about the Book of mormon and the passion? That show is great

Trigger Happy TV
I remember flipping channels one night and finding Trigger Happy TV on comedy central. It was actually pretty clean compared to Jackass, and it was a whole lot funnier. And it was obviously British by the accents. However, I think it lasted maybe a month because I didn't see many episodes afterward if I'd check at the same time. I guess people prefer people sitting in pig dump as opposed to people dressing up like gorillas and punching eachother...

Yeah, they both made me (figuratively) piss my pants. Cartman as a little Hitler and Mel Gibson throwing his feces was a classic Southpark moment. And the "Dum,dee,dum,dum,dum" song in the mormon episode was another great moment. Recently, Comedy Central has been showing the uneditied South Park movie late at night (midnight mountain time), which is a little ballsy even for CC.
