Who will appear as author of this post now? Posted with the user name "Sylas aka cjhs", editted with the user name "cjhs".I'm Sylas; though I have been contributing here as cjhs. Testing my new avatar...This is weird. I am replying to myself, Message 3. That was written as "Sylas aka cjhs", and appears to display with no avatar as far as I can see at present. But from this post edit window, there is a copy of message 3 below, and it is given as being from "Sylas", with the avatar displayed. Curiouser and curiouser.Sylas(Whoops. Added in edit. Now all the posts in this thread display as being from "Sylas", with the Avatar visible... Hypothesis: when I write a new post into the thread, the software generates a new page. Message pages are regenerated (using the latest profile information) only when someone posts a new message or edits an old one. The sole exception to this, at present, is your avatar, which uses server-side includes of a file that is updated when you change your avatar.This means that when you change your avatar, it takes effect everywhere immediately.
