Though I didn't say much about it at the time of the dBoard 1.0 release in December, everyone has probably noticed the read/unread indicator in the left hand column of forums and thread lists. When a forum or thread has new messages from the past 48 hours then the indicator will be a light blue dot. When you've already checked the forum or thread since the last message, or when there are no new messages in the last 48 hours, then the indicator will be a dark blue dot.
The read/unread indicator can now be toggled. Click on it when it is light blue and it will toggle to dark blue, and vice versa. If you click on the read/unread indicator of a forum, all the threads of the forum with messages within the last 48 hours will follow along.
The read/unread indicator cannot be toggled for forums and threads where the newest message is older than 48 hours. It will always remain dark blue.
This appears to work fine in FireFox and Netscape, but in Internet Explorer 6.0 the indicator disappears when toggled. Everything is fine, it is just that Internet Explorer will not display the toggled indicator. If you refresh the page the indicator will display properly.
