Percy/Admin's the one that can handle the technical problems. I suggest you check your "profile" page. Did the thing get shut off? Or maybe you need to re-upload it. Or might that wrathful person you share the computer with, running amuck? AM

Hi Zhimbo! I apologize for the problem. Your avatar has been restored. I believe there is a bug somewhere in the code that for a certain operation, and I don't know what that operation is, wipes out the record of the avatar, though not the avatar itself. I suspect this may have happened not only to you, but also to Asgara and mark24. I'll do another code inspection soon, but if anyone who has lost an avatar can recall if they did anything out of the ordinary prior to their avatar disappearing, that would help. An example of something out of the ordinary might be updating your profile. Though I've visually inspected that code for problems several times now, perhaps I missed something, so if anyone recalls something they did that might provide a clue that helps track this down please let me know. Hi Percy, I don't recall doing anything to my files before my avatar originally disappeared. I had it one day and the next it was gone. I tried to put it up again and my profile said everything was fine but no avatar showed up. The next time I looked at my profile no avatar was listed again. Hmm, mine seems to have flown as well. No big deal, I wasn't thrilled with it anyway. However, like Asgara, I hadn't done any modifications to anything. It was there, I went out of town and didn't post for awhile, I came back, it was gone. It's not in my profile anymore, either.

Hmmm. Avatars disappearing, affected members not doing anything except posting messages. Have any admins or moderators modified any profiles for Asgara, mark24, Zhimbo or Quetzal in, say, the past month of so? I doubt it, just thought I'd make sure. As best as I can tell, it's not even possible for me to modify anyone elses profile. Do do such, you must know the specific individuals password. I have no access to others passwords. Adminnemooseus
