The Times on Tuesday had an intersting article, Muslim academics and students are turning against Darwin's theory. This gives details of a talk from a conference in the United Arab Emirates where an Islamic physicist gave his account of the effects Conservative Islamic influences were having on evolutionary teaching.
In the comments was an interesting link I hadn't seen before to an article from Nature giving an overview of several Nature published pieces of research which had been chosen as particularly illustrative of scientific evidence for evolution, Nature - Not Found .

New Humanist on Adnan Oktar
Hi WK,
Like the article, but that pdf is great. Bookmarked!
For more on Islamic creationism, specifically, Adnan Oktar (AKA Harun Yahya and a string of other aliases), follow the link below. NH is essentially doing a hatchet job on Oktar and deservedly so. He's a creep.
Sex, flies and videotape: the secret lives of Harun Yahya | New Humanist
Apparently, Oktar is really pissed off about this article. Good.

I particularly liked the part about the Caddis fly!
