Why ID and creationism is not Science

Firstly lets take a look at what science actually is, how it works and some of the terms.Firstly the scientific method as simply as possibleA simple 4 step method to form understanding about the real word.1. look at the problem, look at the explanation......
2. try to form an explanation for the problem
3. try to form predictions if your explanation is true then these consequences follow
4. MOST IMPORTANT STEP test the predictions example: all object are equally effected by gravity therefore if you remove all other efects say put a hammer and a feather in a vacuum they should land at the same time.Now this method is so successful that it is in a league of its own, everything from your PC, to the medicine that saves millions is a result of this method.Terms commonly used explained a simply as possibleHypothesis a purposed explanation of a phenomenon ( best guess)
Scientific hypothesis a hypothesis that can be tested
Working hypothesis is a previously accepted hypothesis (tested and it works)
Theory is a model of reality it basically best explains phenomenon in the real world
Facts are things known to be trueEvolution is a fact it is known to be true that species change, tough the methods behind why and how species change are theories.Theories change all the time because they if some observation, experiment or new fact arrives that contradicts the theory then the theory never was an accurate description of reality therefore the theory was false and a new theory must be formed that accounts for all the previous facts, experiments and observations and this new one.ID and Creationism works in an opposite way they have a "theory" <--- science.

Hi Frako,I see multiple possible subjects of debate in yoru post.These include:- what is Science. This isn't all that contentious, but it seems much more like your own personnal view on science then an actual definition that is widely acknowledge.- Your fusioning of ID and creationism as if it were the same thing. I think some people, would agree that creationism isn't science, but that ID at least fits the description you gave.- The actual question of if one or both or none of creationism and ID is science- What caused of the dark age. This is not at all a 'one paragraph' subject and you could probably spend your life doing history papers talking of all the facets of this part of history.So this is at least four that I see. My suggestions would be to use a more textbook description of the scientific method, to make a bigger distinction between ID and creationism, and to just avoid the dark ages.This may seem like nitpicking, but I think that if you do this you you have a much better chance of getting off right and answering the real question you are asking.
