The following are claims made by IamJoseph.
They are mostly from debates I have had with him but some are from other debates where people have advised they have not received an answer. He asked me to start the threads on whatever I wanted him to discuss in more detail.
I cannot seem to make head or tail of most of IamJosephs claims and he is making some claims that are outside my field.
Would it be possible for individuals who know about the subject matter to respond to these claims?
IamJoseph, here are the statements you have made that I wish to discuss.
Claims that Genesis in the Hebrew Bible was the first of -
Genesis is the first allusion to the faculty of science and cosmology.
According to Genesis, the universe is finite [there was a BEGINNING] - perhaps the first and most impacting scientific premise ever recorded.
Genesis is 1000's of years old and the first alphabetical book.
I listed many factors of Genesis in my post, including the introduction of a finite universe, the DAY & the WEEK and the first advanced alphabetical book.
The DAY & WEEK were introduced in Genesis, the world's first advanced alphabetical book
I referred to the first 'recording' of these two terms (DAY and WEEK), and then subsequently the same source incorporates it in a diarised calendar of amazing accuracy, spanning 3000 years, based on the solar, lunar and earth movements, measuring days, weeks, years, anniversaries and seasons, accurate to nominating a sunset 100K years in thto the future. This is new; this is advanced futuristic science.
It is not my opinion but a fact: the first recording the unverse as finite ("in the beginning") is from Genesis. And this is the most important factor which must be the preamble when discussing the universe.
Genesis was the first - This includes evolution, aphabetical books, the world's most accurate and oldest active calendar, the first human cencus, the first historically identifiable mountains, rivers, nations, genealogies and earliest recorded 'names' of speech endowed modern man.
Period of time refers to 4000 years of Monotheism and still active; cencus refers to the first scientifically based account of a group of people, numbered in the millions, with scientific sub-totals of gender, ages, tribes and names - the first of its kind recorded in a book.
(On The Epic of Gilgamesh being written before the Bible) - You are following a widespread falsehood. The epic has been re-dated, even still disputed of the new datings and is not a book [multi-page continuing narrative], not alphabetical and is most probably a substantial copy of the Hebrew bible.
The Hebrew calendar is 100% scientifically based and marks a striking new table, requiring exacting times of sunrise and sunsets in advance, and remembering specific festival anniversaries: if the sun was 12 p'clock high 3000 years ago on a certain day, the sun would again be at that point 3000 years later on that same day. This is a calendar different in kind. Today's Gregorian calendar comes from Genesis' calendar, replaces according to the birth of Jesus and Sunday as its new input.
One can find millions of evidenced historical, geographical, scientific and judiciary stats in the verses of the Hebrew bible - more so than any other book in existence. Over 70% has been scientifically proven. Try to nominate anything which can measure against those stats.
ADAM IS THE FIRST RECORDING OF A HUMAN NAME.
(The Hebrew Bible) is the first intriduction of MEDICINE. I mean its first separation from the occult, with a scientific process.
(The Hebrew Bible) the first alphabetical book
(The Hebrew Bible) is the first recording of medicine, the oldest active calendar and the first alphabetical book
(The Hebrew Bible) is th first introduction of medicine, the most advanced time measurement calendar [including the introduction of the DAY & WEEK], and the most advanced first alphabetical books.
(The Hebrew Bible) is the first recording of the universe being finite, and that there is no alternative to Creationism or Monotheism.
(The Hebrew Bible) The first record the universe is finite. [There was a 'BEGINNING'].
(The Hebrew Bible) was the first introduction of the DAY & WEEK to humanity, and the oldest active calendar; 5771 years now.
(The Hebrew Bible) The first advanced, alphabetical book [multi-page, continuing narratve].
(The Hebrew Bible) The first recording of a human NAME [ADAM], the first King [Nimrod], the first ID of geographical marks in their correct locations [MOUNT ARARAT; MOUNT NEBO; etc], EVOLUTION [the first categorising of life forms in the correct protocol, listed by terrain]
(The Hebrew Bible) The first scientific cencus, in millions, with sub-total breakdowns of gender and age; this unfolds relative ancient historical stats. The first introduction of MEDICINE as a science and its seperation from occultism [The ID, Treatment and Quarantine of contagious but not infectcious deseases such as Leprosy]
(The Hebrew Bible) The first historical descriptions of ancient kings and nations, their beliefs, cultures, locations and diets, including ancient Egypt, the Philistines, the Canaanites, the Medianites, etc.
(The Hebrew Bible) The introduction of Monotheism
The first recording of what was later coined cosmology, is in Genesis. So is the first recording of a finite universe and the first categorising of life form groupings.
Its (the Hebrew Bible) geopgraphy is also amazing, listing the first recording of mount Ararat and mount Nebo in their correct locations.
The Genesis calendar, the oldest and most accurate one, begins with the birth of Adam, which is the New Year in the OT calendar.
The hebrews were subjected to the most advanced laws of that time, many being controversial and novel upto today, 1000s of years before the rest of humanity could even digest these. These had to be inculcated over a 40 year period, including the first introduction of one day per seven of rest from work, animal and women's rights, intricate judiciary rights, cencus counts in the millions, democracy, Liberty, inalienable human rights, creationism, monotheism, etc. To boot, all this was in what is the world's first alphabetical 'books', which had to be understood.
science evolved, via ups and downs, but it had to begin somewhere, by a compelling, challenging tought - which is the OT (Old Testament). Unless someone can posit another previous or near the same time, even a document a 1000 years later than the OT, which makes stats which leads to science? I find literally millions of stats in the OT words and verses as scientifically, historically and geographically vindicated, while it displays such with bold, specific dates and names.
(The Hebrew calendar) forms the basis of a calendar, devised and active for 3,500 years. Unlike other calendars, the OT calendar required counting days of the year - for annual festival observances; years passed for the 50 year jubilee; and days of the week, and critical times of the day of the sun sets for the sabbath. Thus this the first calendar based on solar [for years], lunar [for seasons], and earthly movements [for days and time measurements]. It was a new thing.
Genesis is also the first document which introduced the premise of a finite universe [There was a BEGINNING], and that infinity refers to NO CHANGE [all other depictions fail the infinity test, including any attempted by science]. This is supreme, unequalled grammar.
There are 613 laws in the OT - all of them being active and accepted by the world at large today, despite the time factor of 3500 years and the Jews being in ever dislodgement and targeted not to exist.
