He subtitled it "Omphalos Revisited".

Thread: Unpaid Work For The Unemployed
Message #: 114
I haven't been following the topic closely, but this message strikes me as a lot of "food for thought".
My short version interpretation of it:
"Not everyone is going to be highly trained and highly experienced, but they still need to have a job".
Or something like that.

Seconded.
Direct quote from the father, "the world does not owe you a living, it owes you the opportunity to make a living."
Wish I could elaborate more, grad school just keeping me too busy, maybe when I get some free time.

Read not to contradict and confute, not to believe and take for granted, not to find talk and discourse, but to weigh and consider. - Francis Bacon

Look, I honestly don't know how he does it. Its a gift I suppose. He has a special way of presenting his thoughts, his ideas, his vision, with such a conservation of energy and effort. He is like the Green source of public thought-he can express himself without any expenditure of organic usage whatsoever. He conserves all of the bio-mass on the planet, by speaking without the waste of converting food into metabolism.
He is like a petrified rock, waxing philosophically about the Peripatetic school of Aristotle. Please don't ask me how.

Although Dr. A's reply is factually accurate, pithy and correct in its assessment of your post, I do not feel it quite meets Dr. A's normal high standards.
Therefore, although I commend you on suggesting such a consistently good poster for PotM, I do not support your nomination of that particular post.

Well Panda, I respectfully disagree. Let's see you write a post without using a single part of your brain's activity whatsoever. Its not that easy.

Mod on Models
I would like to nominate Modulous for Message 30 in thread The Power of Belief
A deceptively simple yet very deep post about the distinction between reality and models of reality.
Classic Mod stuff.....

Dr. A with a great closing argument
I know it is no longer June, but since there is no July thread yet.

I have always wished for the ability to craft an argument as clear and as biting as Dr. A.
I can only compare you to one other person who's words cut so well and that is Christopher Hitchens. I hope that is a compliment to you. You seriously should write for print.
