Kentucky Derby today.
Strong favorites: 18 - American Pharoah (no that is not mis-spelled)8 - Dortmund 2 - Crape Diem Strong contenders: 3 - Materiality10 - Firing Line Watch 'em: 12 - International Star19 - Upstart Being a horse race means, of course, that none of the above will win.  My Favorites play: Trifecta Part-wheel (8, 18) - (8, 18, 2) - (2, 3, 10, 12, 19) My Money play: Trifecta Part-wheel (10, 12) - (10, 12, 19) - (2, 3, 8, 18, 19) For those unfamiliar, Trifecta is hitting all three in order, the parentheses are win, place, show. Any combination of the win, place, show numbers (18 of them) will pay if that's they way they come in. In the Money play: if 10, 19, 8 come in win, place, show this pays. Same for 12, 10, 18. Each combination is a separate $1 bet. Each play above is an $18 bet. As already noted, this is a horse race so the bets above are probably losers as are the vast majority of bets that will be made.
