So, a fossil of a four-legged snake has been found.

We now have:

* Lizards.
* Four-legged snakes (Tetrapodophis amplectus).
* Two-legged snakes (Eupodophis descouensi).
* Snakes with vestigial hind limbs (boas and pythons).
* Just plain snakes.

The creationist search for a talking snake presumably continues unabated.

Didn't we discuss Scalia enough on that other thread?

the Talking Snake
IIRC there was the report I mentioned in Proof of the Biblical GOE story. Message 24.

But I have not heard anything more on that subject.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Creationist Take
Apparently this is the fossil of the serpent in Genesis ... before God cursed it to crawl on its belly.

It reminds me of that bit in The Name Of The Rose:

"Some time ago, in a German cathedral, I saw the skull of John the Baptist at the age of twelve."

"Really?" I exclaimed, amazed. Then, seized by doubt, I added, "But the Baptist was executed at a more advanced age!"

"The other skull must be in another treasury."
