According to the creationist flood story, all the continents were uplifted during the flood, mountain ranges rose miles high, great surges of flood water carvecd the great canyon, etc.
So it seems to me that there must have mile-high tsunamis surging all over the seas at that time. How could any vessel survive?
Acording to Moses, the rain fell and the waters rose, and then 40 days later the waters receded. No mention of any large waves, let alone mile-high tsunamis. Moses' story is totally at variance with the creationist version.

Aren't tsunamis rather mild beasts in mid-ocean? Don't they only rise up to terrifying heights as they approach shore? I think giant waves can form in mid-ocean, whipped up by weather, but they aren't tsunamis.
I can promote your proposal as is, I just wanted to check in case you wanted to take another stab at it.
