"Pence would be a worse President than Trump" is something that has been said many times.

I'm not buying that. How could anyone with any good political sense not be an improvement over Trump?

Maybe Pence would be more electable in the 2020 elections. That's the only drawback I see.

Weird the quote from Reagan since of course the whole thing about Russian collusion was a bizarre hoax.

Trump is evil and stupid and incompetent.

Pence is evil and smart and competent (at least compared to Trump).

Who would be more effective excercising evil?

Pence and his extreme agenda
"Pence would be a worse President than Trump" is something that has been said many times.

I'm not buying that. How could anyone with any good political sense not be an improvement over Trump?

It's the agenda, Pence wants to make America a theocracy, Trump just wants to line his pockets.

My dim memory from long long ago was that Lenin wanted to be the secretary of the party rather than the premier\president, because the secretary set the agenda.

See Communist Party of the Soviet Union - Wikipedia on structure.

Pence likewise has been busy setting an agenda of christian theocratic judges in federal districts and supreme court nominees.

His being president would just make it more blatant (and more obviously repulsive, imho), which is why he won't amendment 25 45* ... as well as thinking he'll get elected on his own after Trump.

Look at his agenda in Indiana for some clues, particularly re abortion and women's rights.

He is also very afraid to be alone in a room with a woman. Makes one wonder what goes through his mind.

Enjoy

Is it possible to overturn the truth any further? NO Christian President has ever wanted or tried to make a theocracy of America, and Trump for whatever faults you want to impute to him, has the country's interests at heart, even to his own loss.

This is the power of the media I guess: liberals don't see that the totalitarian fascism is on THEIR side, thanks to the propaganda voices they hear every day.

Re: Pence and his extreme agenda
Is it possible to overturn the truth any further? ...

Again, reality fails you. A simple search on Pence theocracy turns up:

Mike Pence Is A Theocrat. His Christian Supremacist Followers Seek To Take Over America. Seriously.

Mike Pence Promotes Christian Theocracy

Vice President Mike Pence Wants the Bible Taught As Science

The Evangelical Agenda And Its Avatar, Mike Pence, A Heartbeat Away

... liberals don't see that the totalitarian fascism is on THEIR side, ...

What I see is the actual march of the right wing to fascism, it embodies ALL the characteristics of fascism as practiced by the Germans

quote:
Fascism - Wikipedia

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy[3] which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[4] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before spreading to other European countries.[4] Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism, fascism is placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.[4][5][6]

Fascists saw World War I as a revolution that brought massive changes to the nature of war, society, the state, and technology. The advent of total war and the total mass mobilization of society had broken down the distinction between civilians and combatants. A "military citizenship" arose in which all citizens were involved with the military in some manner during the war.[7][8] The war had resulted in the rise of a powerful state capable of mobilizing millions of people to serve on the front lines and providing economic production and logistics to support them, as well as having unprecedented authority to intervene in the lives of citizens.[7][8]

Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties.[9] Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society.[9] Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation.[10][11] Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky (national economic self-sufficiency) through protectionist and interventionist economic policies.[12]

Including accusing the opposition of doing what you are doing {per Goebells propaganda Joseph Goebbels and Propaganda - History Learning Site}

Note: how can liberal democrats be fascist when Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete?

It's like they are antithetical, like oil and water. They don't mix Faith. Anyone who says so is lying. Like Fascist propaganda lies.

Enjoy

Re: Pence and his extreme agenda
Accusing the opposition of what you are doing is PRECISELY what the Dems and the Left in general are doing today. They've done such a good job of turning the truth on its head and convincing you all on the left I don't see much hope for this country.

Trump loves Trump, money, and power.

He's fond of some of his immediate family.

That's all the interests in his heart.

Trump ran to serve America, he loves America, everything he does is for America. And he's done so to his own detriment.

Re: Pence and his extreme agenda
You laugh at the truth. But most of the country knows that truth even if you don't.

Actually I laugh at your pseudotruth, the inventions and conspiracy theory laden distorted view of what democracy is and how the constitution is designed to reign in the abuse of power.

Funny how you are saying that liberals want to create a theocracy (accuse others of what they are doing), as just one example of how distorted your view is.

You hate the impeachment, but you can't show it isn't the duty of the house to conduct investigations and to write articles of impeachment when the President endangers our democracy and flouts the constitution, and that Trump was invited to participate, defend himself, but chose not to ... because he has no defense.

Most of the country and most of the world know he is a weak, lying, conniving, incompetent and ignorant person who reacts like a baby to even the slightest criticism. Every leader from other countries that meets with him walks away eating his lunch. They openly laughed at him. He can't tell his lies from reality. He is a fraud and a poser and a con-artist.

His time will come, his place in history is assured, but I doubt he will like it.

Would Pence be better?

I don't think so, not because he is like Trump, but because he is too evangelical to see reality. He doesn't believe science and that is very dangerous when we are facing a crisis from climate change that can mean extinction of the human race.

We've had 4 years of denial of reality regarding climate change, every year that passes makes it worse.

The longer that is ignored the more we are endangered, and you would have to be a myopic self-centered idiot to think otherwise.

Curious that this is being suppressed by the purported "liberal" media ... when they have nothing to gain from that.

Enjoy

Re: Pence and his extreme agenda
Of course you pick the most unlikely comparison, create a theocracy, but on the other hand that is a way of saying what the left DOES want to do. Their theocracy is Marxism with the Marxist gods in charge, socialism, hatred of capitalism, political correctness, hatred of freedom of speech and all the rest of the American freedoms, except for themselves of course, hatred of America itself of course, hatred of Christianity. Other religions are OK, especially the totalitarian murderous ones. Totalitarian control of every thing anyone does. Sure, the left wants to set up a theocracy.

Basics Faith, try to learn the Basics.
Really Faith, learn the very basics.

Marxism cannot be a Theocracy.

Liberalism can never be Fascism.

Socialism does not hate capitalism and can never hate capitalism or anything else.

No one hates Christianity, even the total perversion of what Jesus taught epitomized by you or Mike Pence. It's deplorable but certainly not significant enough to engender hate.

Basics Faith; try to learn the very basics.
