A paper written by research scientists at Harvard University suggests aliens could be living underground, or on the moon, or even walking among us and disguised as humans.
The paper, which has not been peer-reviewed, looks at a newer, "unconventional" theory called "cryptoterrestrial" hypothesis. The paper was written by researchers with Harvard's Human Flourishing Program, but a note at the top of the report called it a "speculative thought piece" and emphasized it's not affiliated with the program at Harvard.
Rational speculation is at the intersection of learning about the world we live in. It might even help us understand where we came from.
I have witnessed the painful growth of rational thoughts, and we have a lot of work to do, despite hopeful progress. We aren't a rational species yet. We used to (as a whole) not even be able to measure the possibility of alien intelligence on earth in a rational way. I struggled to explain to people that UFOs could be indigenous to earth & non-human BOTH!
I used to struggle to explain that UFO is not synonymous with extra-terrestrial biological life, as there could be other dimensions involved.
I could never get past the "little green men" filter.
Irrational thought leads to conflations.
We humans have taken steps toward the rational end of the spectrum of the human thought movement - a mover is anything or anyone that contributed/contributes to the force that creates momentum toward the ultimate end that a long-game project can bring.
Human progression is part of the long-game. There is a lot of secret technology the government surely has, and there has long been an "invisible college" that attempts to help the larger culture evolve and rational thought is among the end goals (bet!).
The UAP disclosure movement is part of an attempt to get the rest of us toward scientific observations, engagement, and rational thought. We need to get beyond the savage stage of humanity and move toward becoming a community of rational, thoughtful, scientific beings. Democracy is demo-crazy with a majority that is savage & dangerous. Technology is dangerous with mob rule. Ideas are often cataclysmic if the majority are "in on it".
The UAP disclosure movement is both an attempt to get the rest of society to confront scientific observations AND A MOVEMENT to engage with the savage side of our species - those who deny what is right in front of their faces. It is an expensive experiment if it leads to a pitchfork uprising that gets access to dangerous technologies. Risky, for sure
But the confrontation against savagery comes in many forms. The battle against ignorance has forced the United States government to engage the denial of the reality of UAPs. Ignorance of science & the scientific process is almost as dangerous as a dangerous majority getting clued in on things when we are better off when the public remains ignorant of.
There is a dangerous but necessary balancing act.
