his a moment. You are back a long time ago, long b.c. Our people have become more smart, there are markets, some sort of trade, a little organization in the world. Now, there is a monarchy, the world is in a chaos situation. Stealing killing, all anti god behaviors are there. What if in a clever thought the king, made a new thing, telling his people that is was a long kept secret reserved for royalty. God, they had the scriptures, they had everything, bibles the whole works. They give the stuff out. They make some churches. Then comes the big shocker. All of the activities they had been doing was going to send them to hell where they would forever be in bliss, they are scared. What happens? The king explains to them that the only way they will not go to hell is if they went to church regularly and stopped their harsh behaviors. They tell them the 10 commandments. They then tell them to begin to read the bibles they had handed out. What happened to the secret? It was kept, well, eventually lost threw time. A whole kingdom believes in god. Slowly but surely it spreads and is forced upon people like in Rome and in South America. God is forever believed in by the majority, until now a day when people turn to science, slowly winning the people back to truth. This is just one of my theories. Even if this has not been what happened, think, all of this could have been a well-kept secret. Anyway god in my mind is like Santa. At a young age you eventually look at Santa and say, there is no way he can fly around the whole world and give everyone present, why doesn’t everyone say, wow, there is no way you could watch everyone at once, or move a whole sea, cause ten plagues, no they don’t because they are taught to believe in one supernatural thing.

That's more or less my view on scripture.
Bear in mind that Moses (even if the stories are rooted
in fact) brought down ten commandments from God at a time
when his people were starting to behave in a manner that
would not enhance community survivability.
Couple that with his education in the Egyptian court
and I think one can draw one's own conclusions.

All of the activities they had been doing was going to send them to hell where they would forever be in bliss, they are scared.
You are aware that the word "bliss" means something like "a state of ecstatic happiness"? Most people would not use this word to describe hell.
Hence the phrase "ignorance is bliss", suggesting the less you know, the less you have to worry about.

Re: sorry
Wow... you'll go a long way with that attitude.
Actually, it wasn't your grammar but your poor choice of words. That is a much greater crime. You did, after all, say 'happy' when you meant 'miserable.' Is this not correct?
If care isn't taken with words, you just end up sounding confused and/or just stupid. Sorry. Try reading a TC post if you don't believe me. ( Hi TC. )
