I have restored the link. This topic is now promoted to Message 1. Other admins take note; it is already promoted, don't promote it again. This thread in PNT remains open for further comments only. Thanks. AdminSylas

PNT reopened
There has been some feedback from Destinylab via e-mail to Admin/Percy, which he forwarded to some of the other admins.
Destinylab had also given some feedback in another PNT.
I think we may have overreacted in rejecting this topic, thus I'm reopening it.
While message 1 was "spamish", it was "spam" relative to 's intents. Commentary on evolution vs. creationism by music and musical lyrics, rather than just printed text.
Destinylab or the other admins can make further comment in this topic. Other members should go to the "Considerations..." topic, link below.

Re: PNT reopened
I still feel that it is just spam. It may be Christian Spam but it's still spam. Spam is spam. I see no difference between this spam and freelander that keeps coming here pushing his UFO site.
IMHO neither one is legitimate and neither should be allowed.

Im still confused
I guess I do not really know what is considered "spam" I have nothing to sell, I do not have CDs for sale, I do not own or have my own website, I do not have a business. I just would like to share my thoughts in a musical format with other believers. That is all. I want to try and reach young people in a format they will understand and listen to, which is music. What is wrong with that?
This other fella with the UFOs looks like he owns a website, I simply have songs posted on a forum called soundclick.com which is a free site that allows anyone upload and share there personal music with others. Please explain what I am promoting and trying to advertise or sell. I have nothing to gain and you have nothing to lose.
God Bless,
Destiny Lab

After seeing that you came back and questioned the closing, and seem willing to discuss the issues, I change my mind and see no problem letting you open your thread.

One vote for promote
I promoted a version of this before realizing it had previously been rejected. So I retracted my promotion. But since it is being reconsidered, I think this is a fair submission, to go in links and information. Creationist rap. Very amusing. I don't think it is spam; spam means mass mailing without consideration for the destination. This post was made specifically to a forum which discusses creationism, and it was a link to stuff about creationism. I say promote it to "Links and Information" with thanks to Destinylab for submitting it.
However, it since we do have a policy against advertising, I'm glad we are discussing it. We need to think carefully how to apply guidelines. I don't mind which way the board decides; but here's my vote for promote in this instance.
Cheers -- Sylas

Re: One vote for promote
Thanks for being open minded and changing your views on my post. Do I need to resubmit it with my link or will it just be added to the links section with my original post if approved?

Just wait for a bit.
You don't need to do anything. Just sit back and watch all the admins fight it out. So far it's looking good at half-time. When the dust settles, we'll have a clearer picture of policy. If we promote, then we'll promote an existing submission, complete with your original link. It will resolve soon, I think.
Note that you've done nothing wrong here (IMO). It is just a matter of sorting out guidelines for what posts appear in the forum.
Welcome to EvCforum, by the way!
Cheers -- Sylas

Green light. I hope DestinyLab sticks around for a bit.
It has been 24 hours since my last comment in this thread. It looks to me like a no from Jar, and a yes from Sylas, with Moose and Asgara ambivalent but willing to let it go to the forums. One comment from Coragyps in Message 61 suggests that Destinylab has previously dropped links in forums without further discussion; but Coragyps also promises to supply some amusing contrast from MC Hawking. Go for it. Evolution vs Creationism by rappers. I can't resist.
For the record, DestinyLab; this is a discussion forum, not a place for advertising, whether it be for profit or not. I am going to promote your post as originally submitted. I hope you'll get into the spirit of the discussion by sticking around for a while and exchanging views. You'll be most welcome.
Thank you linesmen and women, thank you ballboys and ballgirls.
Cheers -- AdminSylas

Re: Green light. I hope DestinyLab sticks around for a bit.
The new thread is Message 2
I am not closing this thread yet, since other Admins may wish to comment further. But don't promote again; it's up.
