No English Bible translation has ever translated Genesis 1.1!
1. The Jews Are Self-confessed Liars.
"David Biven ... 1. God's name is not 'Jehovah' or 'Yehovah.' In my article I explained that this term originated due to a lack of Christian awareness of Jewish custom. The Masoretes superimposed (1) the vowel signs (2) of the word adonai upon the four consonants of God's name. Thus YHWH would be read as adonai ... The American Standard Version and The Living Bible use 'Jehovah' (4) for YHWH throughout."

ERRORS IN THIS STATEMENT:
(1) Moses pronounced a curse on anyone adding to his words (Deut 4.2; - this included Masoretes and vowels); Solomon instructed men to avoid becoming a "liar" by not adding to the "words of Gods" (MYHLA); see: Prov 30.5-6. Iesous Anointed (Jesus Christ to the Pope) cursed anyone adding to His prophecy (Rev 22.18-19). So then, Mr. David Biven, and the Masoretes, were "cursed" and "liars."
(2) The Hebrew language is defined in the Modern Reference Encyclopedia, and others, as having 22 consonants, AND - no vowels! [Only religions add vowels to the Hebrew language.]
(3) The word of Gods does not restrict the "uttering" of the name of Gods, but on the contrary, it teaches, "Whoever calls on the name of 'He Is' (HWHY) will be saved" (Joel 2.32).
(4) "But the American Revisers, after a careful consideration, were brought to the unanimous conviction that a Jewish superstition, which regarded the Divine Name as too sacred to be uttered, ought no longer to dominate in the English or any other version of the Old Testament ..." - ASV, 1901, Preface, p. iv.
SUMMARY: That is an awful lot of proof that the Jews, and their "changing YHWH to adonai" is LYING! Lord, The Almighty God (Rev 4.8) is quite capable of spelling His own name, and He needs not any help from the Jews.
Mr. Biven did not accurately state the Jews’ phony name for, “He Is” (HWHY). The Septuagint reads, “the Lord” (O Kurios).
But the wise God of all men foresaw this heresy, and so, the Hebrew words, “the Lord” are not recorded one single time in the Scripture. “Lord” reads, NWDA (Strong’s #113), and “Lord of [me]” reads, YNDA (Strong’s #136).
NOTE: The possessive case has, “the Dangling Preposition” (of; Y), and AN IMPLIED OBJECT; (me).
“The Lord” would read in Hebrew, NWDAH. Hebrew reads from right to left.
The prefix, “H” is the definite article, “the.” But, as stated above, these two words appear no where in the Hebrew Scripture.

Mr. Pratico explained that the difference between the Jewish superstition of an “Object Marker” and James Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, Hebrew word #854 (“of” - 2,222 Xs; “with” - 1496 Xs, “birth” - 561 Xs) is in the Jews’ “fake vowels.”

“Heavens” is plural because the “sun” is the heaven in the daytime, and the “moon & stars” are heaven at night time. “Egypts” is plural because of “Upper Egypt” in the mountains, and “Lower Egypt” near sea level. “Waters” (Governments) are plural because the “Waters” (Government) were divided by “Gods” (HWHY) “above” (Gentiles) and “below” (12 Tribes) “the firmament” (Heavens) - Gen 1.7; Compare: Gen 37.9-10.

NOTES: plural “Gods” - 6,400 Xs; participles (almost always corrupted by the Jews), “of” - 2,222 Xs, “heavens” - 346 Xs.
“But The [One; Iesous] answering, said to them also transgress the commandment of the God, through (B) the tradition of you [including the Septuagint]” - Mt 15.3.
This forum cannot properly discuss, “The Creation,” until you learn that, “The Creation” in Genesis 1.1 is A PARTICIPLE! “The Creation” in Genesis 2.4 is A PARTICIPLE!
A participle began in the past, is currently going on, and will continue into the future.
The “Morning of the Seventh Day” was founded (New Jerusalem) in “one day”; meaning in one year; AD 77-78.
Paul taught that, “the rest of God will be shared by His servants,” writing about AD 66, “in the future.” See: Heb 4.8-9.
Isaiah, writing about 700 BC, taught, “The Creation” was a participle; which means into the future.
Iesous, writing in AD 32, taught, “The Creation” was in the future (Mt 24.31); “And He will send the messengers of Him, with great sound of a trumpet*, and they will gather
(New Jerusalem) the elect of Him . ” [on earth; Rev 21.1-3].
NOTE*: “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for he will sound a trumpet and the dead will be changed incorruptible, and we will be changed” - 1Cor 15.52.
The “trumpet” was the resurrection, and the resurrection ushered in New Jerusalem. They were both in AD 77.
Peter, writing about AD 66, wrote, “The Creation” was in the future; “But we look for new heavens and new earth, according to the promise, in which righteousness dwells” - 2Pet 3.13.
The writers of the Bible were not all wrong, and “the lying Jews” right!
SUGGESTION: We would do better to limit our discussions to “real words”; and I can supply them for you. I can demonstrate my knowledge of Hebrew, and Bible translators ignorance of Hebrew, by sharing with you words and phrases that none of you can translate. Words that have never been translated properly. One example is, “The Abel” (BLH), found only in Ecclesiastes, and corrupted to read, “vanity.”
But then, “Abel” was not “vain” nor “vanity.” The Jews had missed the name “Abel” (BLA), and the definite article, the prefix, “H.” The Christians had missed “Abel” and “the.”
The prefix, “H” had suppressed the letter, “A” - which is common practice in the Hebrew Scripture. The translator must “restore” the missing letter. So then, by the Spirit of the Living God, I am able to “read the unwritten.” This is also true of the Greek Scripture.
“Abel” (LBA) is translated, “mourning” 68 Xs, and so, “The Abel” should be translated, “the mourning.” The “real words” make a difference!
I forget your poster’s cliché about, “Christian ignorance,” but it is right on target.
However, compare the Atheist “ignorance”:
“Fool saying (participle) in heart of him, ”No [plural] Gods (MYHLA) . ” - Ps 53.1.
This single verse condemns: Jews, Atheists, Pagans, and Christians believing the Jews’ “one God” lie!
