The bible seems to contain scientific facts that untill recently we hadn't discovered. I want to share just some of them with you;
eclesiastes 1; 6 - Jet stream
6The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
Job 26: 8 - hydrological cycle
He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
Job 36: 27
For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
28Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
Job 28: 25 - air has weight (Inflate a balloon, weigh it, then deflate the balloon, then weigh it again.
The difference is the weight of the air.) link
To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
Hebrews 11:3 - sub-atomic particles
3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Leviticus 17:14 - the life is in the blood. Oxygen.
because the life of every creature is its blood. That is why I have said to the Israelites, "You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood;

Mike darlin',
My only problem with moving this topic to open forum is that it is quite broad. You have lately expressed an issue with being ganged up on and I think this topic is one guaranteed to draw posts from MANY people.
My suggestion is to pick one opponent and take this topic to the Great Debate. This way there will be no ganging up on anyone and posters can take their time without feeling so overwhelmed.
Why don't you name a few possible opponents and we can see who agrees to the debate.
Thanks dear

Asgara, if it went to great debate, I suppose Shraff, Crashfrog, Dan Carroll, or a random and willing evo-baba would be fine. But to be honest, when one desires chocolate one usually gets cake.
I don't think I'll be taking part in this thread much as message one is pretty strong and these truths are hard to deny. So you can put it out there as I've never been afraid of the crowd, just as long as they know that they might have to look to people of similar belief to me to defend the topic at times.
