Greetings all,
Well,
after reading a lot of posts here in the last few days, I am reaching the conclusion that booboocruise is really an evolutionist in disguise, deliberately trying to make creationists look foolish - I simply find it too hard to believe he is really serious, it just does not smell right.
I see others have suggested this as well.
(Consider what "booboo" means - an error, a silly mistake, something false; and "cruise" - a journey taken for fun.)
So,
how about it booboocruise?
If you are faking it, did you plan to announce the truth if enough people called you on it?
If, say, a dozen of us agree, will you admit it?
How many here think the same?
(I have tried to be polite in this post, I am not trying to attack him, I really suspect its a joke - if wrong I will happily offer a genuine apology. Also, I tried to pick the right forum for this, please move if required)
Iasion

I think you post in vain. He's long gone. And your naievete is rather charming but I'm sorry to inform you that there are in fact people as poorly-informed as ol' BBC. I doubt it's a ruse.

Iasion's Vision
I agree with Iasion. There appears to be an active Booboocruise (an evolutionist scientist who is posing in a manner to make creationists look silly) and, and to his credit, is doing a rather good job of it.
Apparently, retirement is not all it's cracked up to be; and larking online releaves PMS (Post-creative Mid-life Syndrome). Otherwise, the only other rational explanation would be that "the Devil makes him do it."
Peace.

Contrast between content and form
Greetings again,
Yes,
we do see many posts showing a poor grasp of science in general and evolution in particular.
But often these posts also show :
* poor grammar and spelling - "fosil", "definately", "persay", "chow" (ciao);
* poor terminology - paleontologist vs archeologist;
* poor sentences structure - streams of sentence fragments linked with ellipses;
* even almost incomprehensible gibberish.
But the FORM of booboocruise's posts aren't usually all that bad, compared to the ignorance evinced by the CONTENT.
That is what makes me smell a rat - booboocruise espresses himself fairly well, with reasonable grammar and spelling and sentence structure - whilst his content is often so wrong it makes us laugh.
Anyone else think so?
(thanks Abshalom :-)
Iasion

But what would compel him to do so? This would be like a feminist putting on a mask at night and going out to slap up single mothers. What's fun about pretending to make a mockery of somebody's life work?
